Halocaust! (Halo: The Future of Gaming?)
Three PS3s!

And my personal favourite candidate:
I think I have been mauled by a badger! (Hell's Kitchen)

Bonus points to whoever can correctly determine the videos these all come from (Some are easier than others). One of them isn't technically a LRR video.

That correct?

Came here to say that. Possibly minus the fail.

Either way, that comic was great up until he started going into time travel and parallel universes.

But... but that was the best parts of it.

XD

But Matt... Its Bob and George. How can you forget that? DX

Space Jump is from the "viral" video that LRR(MORGAN) did.

For some reason I completely glanced over that. I knew that one, though.

@Master Gunner: Okay, I wasn't sure what he meant by "not technically a LRR video."

Well the viral videos were made by LRR, under the outward facade of being unrelated people doing entirely unrelated things, so despite being LRR-made they aren't really LRR videos.

I remember back in the days when Bob and George was still going strong, everyone on the forums had their own little shitty imitation sprite comiccs using Megaman 7/8/whatever sprites. Mine was about Shadowman, just being a fucking ninja. Wish I still had it, I'd like to see if it was okay or terrible.

As for the second set of WoD, I say if any of you bid on it and win, you better auction off the first set that you all have. That's all I'm saying.

Now that I know its true name, the octothorpe is pretty damn arousing. Also, I am disturbed by my own questions.

Also:
"Maul! Bite! Bite! Maul!"
"Simulacra!" (mostly because simulacra is a funny word)
"YOU GOT FRIDGED!"
"Outstanding!" (however, you must also put some sunglasses on whilst yelling this and orgasming)
"So much poop!"
"Is that your last pair of clean underwear?"

It appears I'm about on the same pace as Podcast Tim in Henry Hatsworth. It was fun up until about the 4th world. Then the difficulty started increasing. Now that I'm in the 5th world (Puzzle something?), it's taking me 45 minutes to get through a stage and I find myself wanting to throw my DS across the room. I was wondering why I needed the 30+ lives I'd accumulated through the early stages.

I'm most annoyed, because it seems like the game is just artificially increasing the difficulty, but not making it more challenging. All the game is doing is adding more pits to get hit into for 1 hit KO's and lengthening the distance between save points. There's very little increase in the difficulty of what I'm expected to do as a player - only that I have to repeat the same thing more often.

I've started learning to just skip by some enemies and be much more patient at different points, especially bosses. It's helping, but all of that has also decreased the amount of fun I'm having. If it gets much harder, I'll probably just stop playing entirely. To each one's own, I guess.

If Bill wants a sprite based fighting game he should try out teh Touhou fighting games, heh (that would be 7.5, 10.5, and 12.3. as the others are not fighting games)

Ya, same here.

Also, if you want a good sprite comic, look up Kidd Radd. Its finished, but its awesome.

I know it's not good for an orgasm, but I thought this sounded funny out of context.

If anyone's wondering about Painkiller, as memtioned in this LRRcast: "All you really need to know is there's a gun that shoots shurikens and lightning. I wish I could make something like that up. It shoots shurikens and lightning. It could only be more awesome if it had tits and was on fire."

Zero Punctuation: Painkiller

:D

Also, in the multiplayer version, you can combine any primary fire with any secondary fire to make custom weapons, allowing you to make a gun which shoots stakes and lightning, which is pretty sweet. Pin people to walls, electrocute them: my kinda game. :D Although the campaign cutscenes are ridiculous: not because they're bad, but because they have no relation whatsoever to the style of the actual game. I don't think the Cutscenes department were speaking to the Gameplay department that day.

Anyone who's interested in the cutscenes vs. in-game story debate, or who just wants to see how a video game story should be written, should check out this article by Jordan Mechner. It's awesome.

Regarding the "practical effects vs. CG" discussion sparked by Jaebird's question, I've been watching a few Buster Keaton films recently, and my jaw keeps dropping. Aside from the great comedy and amazing stunts for which Keaton is famous, the props and sets are mind-blowing, and not even in a "good for their time" way. Check out The Electric House, The Boat or One Week. Unbelievable.

I just want to point out, I think we can all agree that the best video game ever would be whatever happens if Valve brought Bethesda and enforced their QA standards on them.

It would take till 2017, but it would be amazing.
