Apartment Hunting

Postby Graham » 02 Nov 2009, 10:39

Inspired by Paul's real experiences while looking for an apartment.
Though... I'm not sure exactly what part.

Enjoy!

Wonderful to see Andy on.

and yachting to land locked Switzerland, how quaint, I think I shall try that next time I winter in the Alps, with my manservant Smithe.

Some really very exemplary jaw-wobbling from young master Andrew.

That was very funny.

Sure are a lot of videos involving empty houses lately... maybe the next one will be a sequel to CCYD where the kids finally break out of that room...

One of my first thoughts upon seeing the video was, "Hey, that's the same cane from Xavier!"

That doesn't make me obsessive, does it?

I have to admit partway through the video I was thinking, "What's the point of that Andy's Character?" I knew that a punchline was coming, but certainly not what actually occurred! I was thinking it was going to be something like, "Sir if you're not rich then there's no way I'm letting you rent this mediocre apartment, get out." Or that the fellow tenants in the building would all be exceedingly wealthy or something.

I must say that what you did is the far better punchline.
My train of thought is more like a roller coaster that has loop de loops and no safety bars.

Heh, I was initially less than impressed scriptwise, thinking "How amusing. A list of things that rich people have that I don't." And then it all began to fall apart.... :) I knew that LRR wouldn't let me down!

The special effects bit was brilliant - I felt sure that the twist was going to be that Graham was another con man, and then out of the blue came the green. If you see what I mean.

Great acting by both of you, by the way!

I have to say, I figued out that he was lying right at the line "Incredibly attractive trophy wife who's currently vacationing in the South of France" primarily because of the whole Canadian Girlfriend feel of it. (No offense)

I do want to point out that I really loved how Andy's exaggerated emoting contrasted with Graham's subdued straightmanism. Is it safe to assume that that was a conscious decision rather than a fluke of comedy?

EDIT: Upon rewatching the video, I can't help but notice just how very Pheonix Wright the second act of the video was.

Not at all. I noticed it was the cane from the "Serious Business" picture.

Actually, sailing at least up the Rhine at least to the border (to Basel) is possible with a small boat.
