I've Just Played Modern Warfare 2

Postby Elomin Sha » 05 Nov 2009, 10:47

We had our stock in today of COD:MW2 today. We were like school children jumping up and down. I've played the first two levels on my lunch break (after picking up my lunch I ran through the store shouting 'get out of the way' and ran into the staff area. There's nothing to spoil but I won't say what happens, except the SAS level is as good as they ever have been.
I stuck it on Veteran, it felt easy but at the same time it was hard.

We were given rules by our head office telling us what not to do to do (open the game before midnight on Tuesday. Only problem with today, my Veteran edition didn't come in so I couldn't see my statue.

Anyone else work in a video game related store and not not played it?

we haven't recieved it yet, to my knowledge.

also, I only work one day a week.

also, if our DM caught us with an open game before the street date we'd all be fired.

we've only ever done advance play when we know for a fact that there's not going to be a store inspection before launch.

That said, while I'm looking forward to the game, I'm not unable to conrtol my NEED to play it.

Am I the only person ever not getting Modern Warfare 2? Don't get me wrong, I'd love to, but I'm a bit short on money at the moment. Also I'm busy with Fallout 3, which I don't want to get distracted from.

I want it, but I'm far too poor due to car troubles and my tuition aid application being denied because the government thinks I make too much money.

I wish...

I won't be getting it either. Not that excited about it (just another FPS to me), and a tight budget makes it not worth it to me.

I'd only play it for the single-player, so I don't really care to get it anytime soon.

I eagerly await this game's release. That said, I fear it will seriously cut into my Dragon Age: Origins play time.

I'm looking forward to the game with an unbridled eagerness. It is, as such, unfortunate that my graphics card melted yesterday. Being that I'm without onboard graphics, I'm unable to run anything that requires DirectX or OpenGL (See: almost every game released in the past 12 years). Even games that are fairly basic graphically, such as Fallout 2 and Yathzees 5 Days a Skeptic result in blank screens :(

So I have 5 days to replace it or I'm going to have to steal someones xbox copy to sate my hunger
and now; back to me.

I was prepping them all today at work, It sucked quite badly holding dozens of copies in my hands (and one COD4 for WII oddly) and not being able to do anything but look at it.

The base version is incredibly bare bones on packaged content. The game'll be good though I'm sure.

sadly both my Manager and Assistant manager were in today so I couldn't even take time to admire it. :(

I'm not getting it I mostly get the COD games for multiplayer and as stated previously I will not be getting it without dedicated servers. I know it wont hurt them or anything I just do not want to play it with peer2peer/matchmaking servers.

Meh.
I 'sowed all my wild oats' a few years back with TF2 - I still fire it up for a 'daycation' to FPSistan, but time is making it clear that my reflexes are never going to be good enough for anything but hitting the PrtScr key to catch a cool death...

Think about this Matt: Every time you put the dollar sign after, you're playing into the hands of the Quebecois. Do you really want them to win? DO YOU?

Nothing? So... how would you feel if, for the sake of argument, I was to mention... The Dutch‽
