Dragon Age: Origins
So who got this game?
I have the PC version.
I currently am playing it as a human noble and am defending Redcliffe from an undead horde. That's me at the 7 hour mark. I have had great fun with this game so far, died numerous times and then went back in trying different tactics and its been a blast.
This is a game that demands numerous play throughs and I cannot wait.
Anyone else having as much fun as me?

I'm definitely enjoying it (PC version). I'm somewhere at the 10 hour mark, I think. Well past Redcliffe.

I'll just mention here and now, despite playing a lot of video games, I completely suck at them so I will no doubt be behind everyone.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
I have it all installed, made my character, got through the ritual and stopped there. I had a few problems with XP so I'm buying Windows 7 and 4GB of RAM. They're coming Friday then I'll be playing again.
So far I have to say I'm more impressed than I thought I'd be.

On my 4th playthrough.
Fantastic game.
Fantastic game.
I'm still trying to figure out why someone didn't tell me how awesome Muse is.
Re: Dragon Age: Origins
My download finished last night so I'm looking forward to trying it this afternoon before MW2 launches.

So I'm weak, and couldn't wait for christmas. It's currently downloading on Steam. The world pressured me into it! Everyone I talked to today talked about it!
Re: Dragon Age: Origins
I'd buckle if that happened to me, too.

Uptight bitch.
My favorite character, thus far, is Shale, the downloadable golem. Both for amusing dialog and for saving my party's ass on multiple occasions.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
I started playing it again tonight. Wow. I made it to Ostagar with my Elf mage. I'm a little afraid to spend points in case there's something later on that I need but I have a few basic attack spells and a basic heal to tide me over.
I also found the sound track in the bonus disc I got. Inon Zur is an amazing composer.

I'm 40 hours in, and midway through the Dwarf city. I'm playing a Female Dwarf Commoner Rogue/Duelist. Trying to decide which other specialization to get.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
This is a really well made game, I've gotta say. I haven't had the free time to really get into it, but my elf mage is having fun stealing energy from dead bodies.
I find it strange that I'm playing her as a nice character, but picking the eeevil spells.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
My elf mage just learned Grease and Fireball. Oh and some mana regen spell. I don't think my allies love me anymore.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
I got it (PC... now that I for the first time in 5 years have a good computer I'm gonna damn well use it!). I find the game good, but sadly my complaint about the ammount of blood that I talked about earlier in the trailer thread, remains. Luckely the game allowes you to shut off the presistant gore, which is good. gets a bit annoying when in every cutscene your characters looks like they just got out of an explosion at a bloodbank.
That aside I'm not sure if I can complain about anything... oh, the random encounter are damn hard >< (mind you I'm not all that far in yet)
Anyway, Good game almost all around. and as I'm not gonna play MW2; I'm gonna play this... for some time

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
I'm playing Sereda, a (Noble) Dwarf Female Warrior. I'm at 11 hours so far, and am searching for the Urn of Sacred Ashes. God I'm a badass...
Anyway, I'm managing to do it with Alistair, Zevran, and Leliana at the same time. The only one who's caught on is Wynne. And she ain't sayin' anything.
Furthermore, the dog (whom I named Boulder) is so cute! And deadly! But mostly cute! Did anyone else get to the bit when the dog fetches a kid?

Now, that's dedication.
And, no, I haven't had an occurrence where the dog (I named him Hardcore), fetches a child. What did you do to get that?

My dog will be Griever. +10 geek points if you can tell me where I got the name from.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
Griever is the name of Ultimacia's GF in FFVIII. The avatar found on Squall's ring and necklace.
It is also lame.
