Bus of 1812 (because that was an awesome song)

Postby OmegaTheta » 26 Nov 2009, 11:04

well as I'm curious Where was the first time you heard the song "the war of 1812"

The first time i heard it was about 4 years ago when my friend Carlos "Pasty" Padilla sent me a link...that link was an HOUR LONG MENAGERIE of AMVs called AMVhell 3: The motion picture. Specifically at 32:24 of the insanely awesome video... and until just yesterday i had not been able to locate the original..and now i have and its SUPER awesome...

I think it was around grade 5 or so. One of my brother's must have found it (probably through napster) and I copied it off of them. I've known it wasn't the Arrogant Worms who did it for a long time, but its nice to finally get confirmation that it was the Trolls.

I'd never heard it before Desert Bus, but it's pretty damn awesome and catchy.

I first heard it when my brother told me about it about 7 or 8 years ago. What I especially liked about it was the name of the band. and then I listened to it and listened to it until I knew all the words.

A couple of times I had wondered to myself if LRR knew about or had ever interacted with the guys from Three Dead Trolls in a Baggie, but I never remembered to ask. Then Wes Borg showed up. I lost my bus. Truly an excellent moment.

I need to listen to those mp3s more often.

If anyone is still feeling generous after giving so much this past week, please do throw Wes a couple bucks to his PayPal account.
He got robbed two weeks ago, and then his RV burned down, and he basically lost everything.

He's a super-talented dude, and he's written some fantastic songs, so if you've got the MP3s (which he's fine with) please help him out.

I knew I recognized him. He did the welcome to the internet help desk video. That's a funny sketch.
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.
