Battlestar Galactica Mafia - GAME OVER - CYLONS WIN

Postby Metcarfre » 01 Dec 2009, 18:27

The Second Cylon War is upon us.

Cylons compromise Colonial defenses by infiltrating their military and civilian society with models that look human. The Cylons use various electronic attacks that completely by-pass Colonial electronic defenses, and inflict varying degrees of damage to Colonial military computers.

Viper squadrons experience complete power loss upon engaging the enemy, while battlestars and other support ships suffer an abnormally-high number of "equipment malfunctions" during their engagement of the enemy. This infiltration of Colonial systems - when combined with the "complete surprise" that they achieve - enables the Cylons to sweep the Colonial Fleet aside with minimal losses; a triumph beyond their most optimistic projections.

The attack begins when a massive Cylon fleet jumps from The Colony into the orbits of each of the Colonies. No one on the Colonies can detect them except the battlestars in orbit which try to engage but are shut down by the computer weakness. After getting into position, the basestars launch massive pods each containing multiple nuclear missiles which break apart and spread out once reaching a certain point. All of the Colonies are nuked at once and the Hybrid reports that all of the Colonies are burning to the Cylons.

Humanity (Human) has been Nuked

The Battlestar Galactica, and a small, ragtag fleet of FTL-capable civilian ships, are all that remains of humanity. Desperately, they flee from the Cylons, and search for a mythical home to retreat to; Earth.

But there is more; the Cylons now look like Humans, and some walk among the fleet.

And they have a plan.

1) ThrashJazzAssassin
2) Re'ozul - Cylon - airlocked.
3) Gordon Fearman - Human - shot.
4) Master Gunner- human investigator- dead
5) iamafish
6) Genghis Ares - human - airlocked
7) elvor
8 ) Cake
9) Allen! - Human - airlocked.
10) the amativeness
11) JesterJ. - Human Doctor - dead.
12) Beta-Guy
13) curbee - Human Psycho - airlocked.
14) Perianth St. Claire - human - dead

At night, those with special night abilities can PM me with their night action. For descriptions of your night abilities, see your role PM.

Night periods typically last 24 hours. THERE WILL BE NO TALKING DURING NIGHT PERIODS. END OF STORY. Once the night is over, I will recap the night events, and post them. As soon as this is posted, it is day once again.

It takes a majority to enact a lynch. Lynching can only be done during the day. To vote, post “VOTE: YOUR MOM”, or something to that effect. Any vote not in bold will not be counted. A “VOTE: No Lynch” will tag you as a non-lynching person. You may change your vote at any time with something like “CHANGEVOTE: YOUR MOM.” Do not vote in mid wall-of-text. Make the vote stand alone so it is easier to spot.

Your role PM will specify your character name, your role, and your abilities. Any questions on this PM should either be in a reply PM or over IM to me.

Do not post in the game thread once you’ve been killed. This can be construed as influence beyond the grave. Well, maybe ONE post, of like "ARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!"

If I see any emo posts whining about a lack of trust from other players, I will strike you down.

CLAIM ALL YOU WANT, YOUR ROLES ARE NOT RELATED TO YOUR ALIGNMENT/ABILITIES. Do NOT quote my post in the thread, or in a PM to anybody else, or I will kill you without hesitation.

Post editing is suspicious, and if you do it, you might get waxed. Double posting is fine, but keep it to a minimum, please.

DAY ONE BEGINS NOW!

Woah. I thought that this would never actually start. 'Tis a travesty that we are the only left of our species. Though it seems as though there are spies in our midst.

I'm not a part of this, but I'll confirm the image issue.

But, I blame the cylons.

OOC: If you're having image problems, open the image in a new window or tab. They are only "broken" when embedded on another web page.

Also, the whole end of the human race thing. That's harsh.

Yeah, that was pretty bad. Luckily for me, it seems all my ties were on board the ship, so... that's pretty well settled.

Oh, wait, I had to go back and was left behind to fend for myself?

Uh... shit.

Okay, I think I'm good now...

(exhales)

Since everyone seems to be running around like chickens with their head cut off, I'll take charge for now. Does anyone have any idea about these Cylons, and how we can tell them apart from the rest of us?
