After Ways to X2Y, they should try to post up the old Season 1 X2Y vids, they are so simple and hilarious. Its part of the LRR Heritage. Still love the Ways to Make Someone Leave a Room, only seen it at the screenings, but its so great.

We do plan to. Sorry, just the act of getting Season 1 video off their tapes at all is tough.
We'll put the X2Y back online though.

I have seen Ways to Ruin a first date, which was pretty funny. I very much want to see Ways to Leave a Room.

Could I help by ripping them off the DVD into mp4 format, and sending them over? They wouldn't have the dot-dot-dot circle triangle intro, though.

I'm 99% sure they also have DVD copies.

That's okay, we have them backed up.
Thanks though!

On a vaguely related note, since Apple publicly released its code for iTunes Extras, along with developer notes, I've been playing around with the idea of making an ITE for the LoadingReadyRun DVDs.

Would work a treat: little to no production overheads; can download from anywhere, so no long shipping times to Europe/Australia; you can watch the videos on your iPod; DVD quality and all the extra features you get on a DVD; no switching discs to search for episodes: it's genius.

I've coded most of the menus' appearance, but setting the items up so that clicking them will play the episode is tricky. Also I don't think you can set in the menu whether to have commentary on or off, which is a pain.

I have an idea for that but I should write Graham before I say anything else so I don't get in trouble.

Right, going for a truly horrible necropost.

But I'm wondering about those old videos, like Ways to Eat Fries and Ways to Make Someone Leave A Room.
Are you at some time going to post them on the site or have them anywhere else, like in a season boxset that is actually for sale?
The only ones that face reality are the ones too stupid to duck when they see it coming!

The current running answer is usually "no, because we'd have to re-edit videos which weren't that good to begin with, in order to remove copyrighted music."

I'd personally love to see the S1 videos, but that pretty much requires borrowing the S1 DVDs from someone who will trust me with their rare and possibly valuable possessions. I could also find my way about 4000 miles north and borrow it from a video store (I think it was Yo! Video that had a copy for rent).

Honestly I think that if the fans want to see the S1 videos, we need to find a way to take care of any music licensing issues with minimal involvement for the crew, and then convince the crew to re-upload S1.
