Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia
I'm not one to quickly jump to no-lynch, so I won't. But after looking over the crew manifest, we should have a few people here with good sleuthing skills. Maybe we should give them a day or so to look around and figure out if there is anyway to tell these Cylons apart from the rest of us.
That, or we could blindly kill someone. It's not the human race would die out or anything...

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia
No lynch on the first turn is probably the safest choice. Blind, baseless accusations are not helpful when the odds are heavily stacked against mankind. In any case, votes can change so my no lynch is just to get someone voting on something.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia
Really. What changes after the first round curbee? One more person is dead, but we're no closer than the first turn. Under your logic, no one would vote for anybody.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia
[metagame]Voting No Lynch on the first turn is never a good idea. As Gordon said, on the second day nothing has changed (except for another dead person), and the mafia has no problem waiting if everybody's just going for no lynch every day (even an investigative role would have a hard time turning that around in time). By voting to kill anyone, even just by throwing accusations through the air, you get the ball rolling. As well, by watching how people vote for whom, you can sometimes discern information about their role and allegiance. It takes a careful eye though (and LRRd knows I'm too lazy to go back through the thread to dig out that information, but maybe someone else is up to it).[/metagame]

Besides. You know how it is when you get one of those manly urges. And you just have to go kill something. Fix stuff. Cook outside...
Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia
VOTE: curbee
Because SOMETHING needs to happen, and he was the last person to get voted for.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia
We may all be missing something very obvious here: there's absolutely no way that Allen! would have let two days go buy without insulting curbee for voting No Lynch unless Allen! was deliberately lurking.
Vote: Allen!
On Day One. Again.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia
So, remember back in the good old days when we all posted in that Mafia thread? They were good times.
Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia
I'm not paying attention. What do you want? I'm busy trapped on a desolate planet with nobody here except me and probably some robots. I'm not even sure, I haven't seen any.

The problem is that your proposition favours the Cylons.

What Gordon said, and in the interests of moving this game along,
Vote: Curbee.
I'm sorry, but it has to be done.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia
I just don't like how I have little I can do to protect myself. As I have the most votes so far, people are likely to continue to keep voting me out and this early on there's nothing I can do to prove my innocence. Sigh.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia
Sadly, this is what happens on Day One. See if you can come up with a cunning argument, or at least roleclaim. Sitting still saying "this sucks" is not a recommended survival strategy, especially in space.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia
well in the interests of getting day one over moving towards a resolution I may as well...
vote: curbee
I don't now if he's a cyclon or not, and if not then I apologise, but I think a lynch of any kind is better than none on day one.
Edit: moved my vote onto it's own line to make it more obvious, sorry

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia
They came for him in the cargo hold, grabbed hold, and took him to the fighter bay.
"I'm not a Cylon! I'm not!" he cried.
"No, but you're a traitor" they replied.
They dumped him in a Viper launch tube, hands bound, on his knees. A single tear rolled down his cheek. But he was defiant, taciturn, unperturbed.
"You may kill me... but you'll never kill my message! The people will rise and strike you down! You can't steal our freedom forever-" His last words were cut off by the closing of the blast doors. The exterior doors were opened, and the outrushing air sucked him into the void.
The fleet left him behind, a tiny human satelite spinning in the cosmos.
You have airlocked...

Tom Zarek
Thomas Zarek, commonly known as Tom Zarek, was a political activist for more than 30 years before the Fall of the Twelve Colonies. He was a charismatic, eloquent and ideological political agitator who was incarcerated for destroying a government building on Sagittaron. His 20-year incarceration culminated in a sojourn on the Astral Queen, an FTL-capable prison ship, whilst in transit to parole hearings. Assigned the prison number of 893893, Zarek is under consideration for parole at the time of the Cylon attack.
Tom is commonly considered a terrorist and opportunist. Which is true.
You are Human – Psycho. You win by being the last person left in the game. You have the ability to kill at night. Send me a PM with the name of the person you wish to kill.
