Probably kind of a blow to Ken that i completely forgot about his Swag, while running back and forth behind my door waiting for Chemistrings. ^_^

When I get my package it's going to be a toss up between me dying due to the sheer awesomeness of it all and my parents killing me for some strange reason.

But yeah, the auctions rocked (says the person who won far too many of them).

Nah. It's more like they don't know how much money I spent. As in, they think I put out maybe £100. And I actually put out something like.....*mumbles*almost £2000*mumbles*. Of course, I never plan on telling them that (it's my money but they like telling me what to do with it as parents do). I've put the groundwork in place for chalking it up to one of the random prizes that got given out during the course of Desert Bus so hopefully that'll hold.

Please, please, please let it hold...

Deflect it, have them annoyed that you were up late, instead of furious that you spent 500 dollars on a box Ken signed or whatever. =P

Somehow I don't think that would work (my parents are tenacious you see), but thanks for the idea.

Hopefully I'll survive to post pictures of the cat ears et all.

Well, I could do that. But then Kroze would kill me in place of my parents....

I'm sure my parents will be proud I donated so much to charity. I'll just neglect to mention that a third of it was because (aside from benefiting children) I wanted a handmade doll.

Hooray! That's what I thought it looked like, too, which is why I didn't try to cover them up all the way. It's probably too much to hope that they spell out some horrible doomy doom wrought upon mankind by the ginger beef, but I can dream.

Definitely Derek. There's just something about his squishably soft skeleton that makes me happy. I also have a soft spot for Ragnar, with his impressively large weapon collection and knitting.

This is a thoughie.... Derek's sleeves are the best at putting stuff in so it looks like hes holding them, but I love Krulls axes and hes so mysterious with his ninjamask, but Steves hoodie is just so RAD, but Ulric has style with the simple swords and BLING and the cape that fastenes with a tiny bra hooky thing.

Upon getting to Ragnar, i have to go with him. Dudes ready for anything with 3 different weapons, and the knitting which is so meta now.

Its like im FOUR! ^_^

For comparing US and Canadian postal systems, the US postal system will deliver stuff on Saturday, Canada's does not.
The prices for shipping stuff internationally are terrible, and higher than pretty much any other country I've been in.

One funny thing, that I don't mind too much, was earlier this year I sent three huge boxes of stuff to England as I was moving there. I was bringing the boxes to the post office one by one by bicycle, and when I showed up with the second box, thef first one was gone, it had already been picked up for delivery.

When I got to England 6 weeks later the first box had already gotten there, while the second and third boxes didn't show up for another three weeks. Kind of incredibly what one hour of difference can make.

Oh yeah, and the UK post system delivers shit across the country over night all the fucking time, which blows my mind. Canada post couldn't get a letter across town from my university to me in less than three days.
This episode (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5EfdzrWTkx8) of Top Gear shows them racing a letter across England. It's pretty neat.
