Holiday Swag!

Postby Intellectually funky » 25 Dec 2009, 10:02

What did you guys plunder over the last month? I got a Sony ereader and a bunch of games. I also apparently have a Runners shirt and Season 4 DVD on the way they said they ordered late on the 12th... But don't tell my parents I know.

What did you guys get?

Mostly I'm in the same boat as James, but my parents did suprise me by getting me a three piece daisho (japanese sword set) which was pretty damn cool.

I decided last night, after all the festivities to leave the dirty dishes till the morning. So when I woke up super early to sneak out of bed before Wraith and do them... a fucking cockroach crawled out of the sink. A FUCKING COCKROACH. I have never seen a roach in my LIFE. So my first present of the day was a big burly man coming out and punching a coackroach to death for me. <3

I got a BUNCH of stuff. Holy crap. I have enough chocolate to last me for a year. My mom got me a beautiful 50's dress, boa, bathstuff candles, belts, clothes, 2 different sets of perfume, an *NSYNC candle ( YEAH THAT'S RIGHT), mini alphabet cookie cutters (Sooo nice for fondant), guitar ice cube sets, a rachel ray cookbook, Lucy show box set and soo much other stuff I can't remember. Wraith got me a NEW MICROWAVE YAY (if you guys read what i posted about my other microwave you will knwo how happy I was) a new toaster (Mine was 6 bucks from walmart, and the WHOLE thing would heat up. it was a metal box of doom) A Kurig Elite Coffee maker (the one where you put the pods in and it stabs it brewing your cofee to delicious perfection) and an icecream sundae set, jams, True blood, a cell phone, Scrabble, SD card and holder for my camera, and lots more stuff.

Haha, Matt, Wraith says "FIRST HE STEALS MY NAME, THEN HE STEALS MY GIFT!" I got him the same box set of the Transformers with the Matrix in the middle. I had actually cleared a space on the shelf for it so we could display it. I got him X box360 collectrors tin and shorts, Microsoft points with the 360 mini card holder (SO CUTE), StreetFighter Alpha Anthology, Virtua Fighter 5, Jak 2, Kingdom Hearts 2, Mass Effect, Aqua Teen Hunger Force SSn 5 + 6, Complete box set of Sea Lab 2021, The Spirit, Monopoly GI JOE ( I get him a themed monopoly every year ) Boxers, ties, dress shirts, bunch of gillette products, ornaments, a docking station for 2 wireless 360 controllers. And then my mom gave him about 15 Xbox games and a whole bunch more stuff.

It's pretty hilarious - I put the old microwave by the door to take out for the garbage, and he's sitting on it about 2 feet from the tv playing xbox like a little boy. D'AWWW. I broke mean ol' Wraith.

Money is one of the best things to give for Christmas, Because of my laziness and no thought in planning I told my mom I was paying for all the utilities in the house for a month, She actually got teary eyed over the though... Whew problem solved.

Money, some books, underwear, socks with silver in them to eat up odours, deodorant...I'm given this every year. I think they're trying to tell me something.

Half of my presents I bought myself.

A sweet beard trimmer, headphones, a voice recorder, and a big ol' mirror, in addition to some homemade lasagna meals (frozen) from my aunt and some cash to buy books and stuff. I think my dad is going to give me money so I can buy Windows 7 and a LRR shirt/DVD, but I'm not sure.

I got a blanket with silk around the edges like my baby blanket used to have and I now can't sleep without. I also got a new electric mixer with a bunch of different attachments. I also got a bunch of gift cards because one of my brother's fund raisers was gift cards that he gets like 3% back on for a trip so my mom went crazy. Seriously its great, there is one for my grocery store, ulta, old navy, cvs and I think a few more...

In all, pretty good

Lots of disparate stuff. The fiance was cute, we did stockings together, and she got me an Optimus Prime ornament, little box of Lego, handwarmers, a bike light, and turkish saffron sugar swizzlers.

At her folks house in my stocking I got nice leather gloves, work gloves, and a fancy oven glove. I/we also got a set of steak knives, a garlic press and mugs from our registry. Her parents got me a lot of stuff! Ramekins (yay!), a camping frypan, medical shears, locking carabiner, waterproof notebook and a ski bag. Her grandmother got me a gift certificate to a book store and a sweet Star Wars Lego set.

I am still travelling on to my parent's house, so there's still a stack of stuff to come, too!

I also got a couple CDs. My brother gave me some beer for my birthday which was a few days ago. I am waiting for my main birthday present which is a pair of headphones which I am still waiting to be delivered. More of a present to my self I am also waiting for an astrophysics physics textbook that my supervisor says I should read before I start my PhD.

Shirts! That is, nifty t-shirts. Many of them. Plus a really quite stylish new watch, because my last one broke.
