Desert Bus Cleanup

Postby Graham » 06 Jan 2010, 12:58

This was a loooong day. I don't think any of us actually got back to 100% until several days later.

Still, worth it, obviously.

It looked like a loooong day. It was a fun glimpse into the aftermath of the event. If I went out there for the next event I'd probably go later & help with the cleanup.

I love these kind of behind the scenes, unscripted looks into LoadingReadyRun life. Although saying that, I do not envy you for the clean-up job but it was certainly worth it for the overall fantastic result that was DesertBus, was watching it with every spare moment I had.

It's just a shame 6-man had to fall... He could have been saved...

Yay sleep-deprived silliness. It's good to have an epilogue for the epic bus.

Well done, guys, and thanks. 3 cheers for all the hard work!

Is it possible to be nostalgic for something that happened not even two months ago? Because if so, that's how I feel.

Also, I think between this video, one of the podcasts, and the crew's Twitter feeds, LRR is part of an insidious plot to make me go out and buy some Nerf guns.

I think Tally had a good point. Desert Bus is one of those rare performer-audience interactions that happen so well, and over such an obtuse amount of time. It definitely doesn't occur enough in other media.

I also believe nobody would complain about a video purely of Nerf fights. Just sayin'.

Hurray, more wrap-up stuff about Desert Bus~! \o/

Gotta say, I "Aww.."'d at Tally's comment about getting to talk to the fans and stuff. Cute xD

Also, Graham, that spasm after James shot 4 nerf darts at you was hilarious beyond words. God, just the look on your face was enough to cause a chuckle.

"Daaaamn."

EDIT: I also -have- that Billy Mays RE: Your Brains on my PSP Music list.. And 1337.

So, after Desert Bus, James went home and spent the day cleaning his bathroom?

That's like something a meth addict does.

I also enjoyed the behind the scenes looks.

It was too bad that class time kept me from watching as much of Desert Bus as I had hoped.

Also, i can't believe you guys produced so much waste during Desert Bus that it took the whole crew an entire day to clean it up; or was having everyone there counter productive?

Anyways great job, and also how do I submit stuff to get auctioned off at this years event.

I, too, feel the need to own a Nerf Arsenal. A Nerfenal, if you will. Thanks, LRR. I really needed another thing to desire.

Loading times are some of the best. Jer looked on the verge of death in this video, like he hadn't slept at all since the bussing stopped. Thanks for yet another glimpse into the aftermath Tim!

I love how Tim always gets out of doing work by filming these.
Yes I realize Tim still did do work, and that for most of the video the others weren't working anyway.

We haven't really talked about this much yet, but we'll let people know once we start thinking about the next event. We have some ideas that'll make it easier on us and hopefully a little less chaotic with all the shipping, etc.

That slowpoke thing was so funny. And just for accuracy it read

Breaking News: 10k Broken!

with a pic of Slowpoke underneath. I was sat in my library and I just about freaked out everyone there while trying to stifle my laughs. Ya know when you just start snorting cos you're trying so hard to control it?
Nothing to see here.
