But weirdly, the word 'vagina' is censored there.

...early 4chan, hm? I'm intrigued. Not necessarily in a good way. But sure I'll join up and take a look 'round.

To be honest I can't actually imagine a time when 4chan, or at least /b/, wasn't occupied my homophobic, racist fifteen year olds with very shaky morals and a collective God complex. In fact I doubt that this time that you speak of ever truely existed.

See, you're making a common mistake, one which led to the current state of /b/. Back in ye olden days it was populated by people like you or I, pretending to be homophobic, racist fifteen year olds with very shaky morals and a collective God complex. Then it was clever and interesting, and produced some "good" memes. Now it actually IS populated by those people, and sucks.

But perhaps he didn't have shaky morals or a share in the collective God complex.

Actually I would have been younger, I believe. My memory's a bit fuzzy though. Plus I actually was never that big into the #chans, I had other parts of the internet I preferred.

Oh I remember when the whole internet was kind of like that. Ah the late 90's and the early 00's. Shit I've been using messageboards for 10+ years. How odd.

You see, I never participated in any of that kind of behavior. I have morals.
I can't help but think that we're getting a tad bit off topic here...

Morals have no place on internet, and on-topic conversation has no place on LRR.

Re: Escaping from the Escapist? Start here.
...I just keep imagining a collective god complex. I can't decide if it means a mass quantity of deities coming together to form some kind of divine Voltron, or else a retirement community for those gods whose religion has become obsolete and who therefore have nothing more to do but sit back, play shuffle board and look through scrapbooks of past sacrifices.

Depends on your definition of fun. I figure both options can only lead to endlessly repetitive theological arguments which invariably degrade into fistfights...and when you get some of the Hindu gods in there, fistfights go to a whole new level.

Norse. The Greek gods would be distracted by all the sex they were having with each other and everything that moved.

Breathe deep in the blue. Relax.
Consider this signature a museum piece, since I love it and am unlikely to change it ever.

/breaks the thread
But yeah, does it technically count if I escaped the Escapist before the first (real) LRR video was put up?
But yeah, I discovered this place through the Escapist and personally think its amazing! Somehow I think I shall fit in here well...
In a moment once I've actually set up an avatar and a signature I might go post in the introduction thread... I guess I'll see y'all there!
