Re: Introduce yourselves! (A friendly topic for new members)
Your forum confuses and intimidates me. I'm Rin. and i hope that this isn't the kind of thing i join because i love the content so much then forget about and come back to months later after a particularly hilarious video and cant remember my name and password. My goal in joining this forum is to gab about (what else) LRR related things and send Paul a PM every day until he submits to my demand that he create a "go huff a dong" T-shit.

Can't tell if you're being sarcastic...I like that in a man.

Gladly. Though i don't usually take kindly to being stabbed with kebabs.. actually that's entirely dependent on what's on them.

Re: Introduce yourselves! (A friendly topic for new members)
Hello LRR,
So to introduce myself I am a avid gamer, playing all three consoles. I used to be a DM for my 3.5 DnD group. I still play magic the gathering and consider myself a pretty geeky guy.
I guess I started watching LRR when I found out who was making unskippable and then spent the next several days going back through the archives. I am now listening to all the pod-casts, but never thought about joining the forums until now. So here I am.
Now to find out where to make the second post.

Hey there, I'm a long time watcher, first time poster. I'm also generally known as Feldheim_C from the Desert Bus for Hope IRC and soon probably the LRR forums.

Anytime. Dive right in, talk to anyone, join in discussions, it's the best way to become a part of the community.
Re: Introduce yourselves! (A friendly topic for new members)
I must admit its strange being the one to introduce myself rather than the one welcoming, but I guess we all have to sit on both sides of the fence from time to time!
Hi all, I'm Myrph, I found this place from the Escapist website and haven't looked back. I'm big into video games, music, music from video games and the like, reading is always good, movies likewise, roleplaying is good, though I'm only in a single campaign at the moment (Changeling: The Lost, par of World of Darkness), hoping to join a D&D 4th Ed campaign with a bunch of friends online.
Other interesting stuff about me, I live in London, currently in my first year of university studying Materials Science with Nuclear Engineering, science is practically my life, I just love the crazy things that happen with science and all the amazing concepts behind it all.
Oh, and I'm a moderator over at the Video Games Live forums, link is on my profile if you're interested, we'd be more than happy to get more members over there!
Apart from that, look forward to taking part in stuff over here and LRR rocks!!

Right, these things can be a bit awkward so I'll just jump right in. Name's Jon, I like LRR, games, sci fi, books, long walks on the beach etc etc. I am a huge fan of all things geeky and this seems like a place that will fit me well. Found LRR through Unskippable and later Wil Wheaton, love their stuff of course so I'm here to be another in a long line of people who give LRR praise and affirmations. Nice to meet you all.

Um hello all. I am certainly not new to the LRR milieu but this is my first post here on the forum, so let me kick it off with a random 80's quote.
"It's terribly small, tiny little country. Rhode Island could beat the crap out of it in a war. THAT'S how small it is. They recently had the whole country carpeted. This is *not* a big place."

Re: Introduce yourselves! (A friendly topic for new members)
Hi all. I'm Conor.
I'm 23 and originally from Dublin, where I got my B.Sc. in UCD. I'm currently in my second year of my Ph.D. in the School of Chemistry at St. Andrews, Scotland. I'm a officer of DocSoc (Doctor Who) and the Mostly Harmless (Douglas Adams) societies here. In UCD I was involved in Sci-Fi Soc and Pagan Soc. So basically, I'm a massive nerd.
I'm known either as Papa Bear (I'm large and give ferocious hugs) or BFC (big friendly Conor). I'm into films, plays and books which are just a little bit odd or surreal. I love Tom Baker's Doctor and my favourite item of clothing is a replica of his scarf and fedora. Also Pratchett
I realise I'm a latecomer to LRR but I hope you all will have me. Mondays will be Epic from now on.
