Video game collections

Postby wartjr2373 » 28 Jan 2010, 16:38

Back in October of 2007, Matt posted a blog entry listing his extensive video game collection. Let me see if I can dig it up.

...Right. Here it is.

I'm not sure if a similar topic has been done before, but the idea here is to do the same thing. List your game collections. Even if they're small, I won't laugh. Out loud.

Now, if there's a game missing from the list that you think the person would like, based on their list, make a recommendation. And of course, I'll do the same. It's not like I'm making this topic because I'm looking for ideas or anything. I mean, really, who would do that?

Now, here's my list:

Most of "my" games are more family-owned games, so I'd have to go home to catalog them all (which would be a nigh impossible task, and that's not including what people have lost or squirreled away the disks for). What I have access to right now in my dorm room though:

PC:
Left 4 Dead 2
Borderlands
Modern Warfare 2
Team Fortress 2
Half-Life 2
Counter-Strike: Source
Star Trek Online
Fallout 3
Diablo II + LoD
Brothers in Arms
Planescape Torment
Star Trek: Bridge Commander
Driv3r
Lord of the Rings Online

360:
Rock Band 2
Guitar Hero 2
Guitar Hero 3
Gears of War
Gears of War II
Burnout Revenge
Halo: ODST
Batman: Arkham Asylum

Wii:
WiiSports
Super Mario Galaxy

Uh, next time I'm at home (currently in halls at uni), I might do this... I have stupid numbers of PC games that I've amassed over the years, not to mention the ones I've got through digital distribution methods, and all the freeware ones (I assume those don't count though...), so it would be quite amusing to actually list them all. as for consoles, I can't remember most of the ones I've got lying around anyway... I'll try and rummage up a list though, just for the hilarity!

I didn't list any freeware PC games, but whether you count them or not depends on whether you consider them a part of your game collection.

I used to have a large collection, but then it was stolen from me. Since then I started using Goozex and traded off most anything I wasn't trading and have taken to this Play and Trade system. Games are always coming and going from this place. I like it better than a collection because I actually play everything I own but not as impressive.

that's the bad things about collections. There's so many games that it's hard to keep track which ones are played/beaten. In my whole collection, the only one I still haven't touched is FFX, and I've beaten them all except DFO and Yu-Gi-Oh.

My dad got rid of my Coleco Vision and Atari 5200 when I was a kid so I don't remember what games I had for those, but I got a lot of games.

I might expand upon my list when the renovations in my house are done and I can unpack all my other games.
