Aliens vs Predator 3

Postby AeroCmdr » 22 Dec 2009, 14:05

Ok so it's really just titled "Aliens vs Predator" but that's confusing.

I'm really looking forward. It's going to have three (hopefully) awesome campaigns and if it follows the trend of the past two games it should have amazing multiplayer. Of course that's just me being hopeful that it will be great but for all I know it could really suck.

It will also be one of the first few games that implements DX11 and will of course have dedicated servers (haha trollin' you).

It should really tide me over until the co-op awesomeness of Aliens: Colonial Marines is released.

Here's the Gametrailers link for the game for all the trailers and walkthroughs.

As of now it will be released in mid February of 2010 on the PC, Playstation 3, and the Xbox 360.

It's hard not to link the two together, but hey.

Cool though, I was raging when I first heard about it being completely banned but YAY! I get to spend more gratuitous amounts of money on awesome video games. XD

I am so looking forward to playing this. Recently reinstalled AvP2, and have tried getting it to work over Hamachi, but no dice.

Also had similar problems with my mates, I swear one of the Hamachi updates actually broke that program. We used to LAN over hamachi all the time and then it just suddenly stopped working. Hrmph.

I know I've had AVP2 working over hamachi. I guess you could try to find an older version of it.

I also found a picture which did not please me.

The pulse rifle is flipped. It shouldn't really have anything on the left side.

Really looking forward to this. I hope it's up to the standards of AVP2.

And why did the idiots who made the AvP movies not just use the plot from AVP2? It would have worked perfectly!

I think you answered your own question there.

Quote from Alex Moore (One of the devs)
There will be a demo...That's all we can say. [laughs]

The demo should be released on Thursday Feb 4th. Most likely for all platforms. (Date was shown on the Xbox live spotlight channel and was taken down pretty quickly)

The demo of course is out now on all platforms.

It actually disappoints me to the point where I have no interest in it anymore. Anything that binds Q to sprint by default is just a bad sign. Combat seemed to be "Rush right next to enemy and mash the instakill quick time event key until enemy is dead". The marine was a tad different but still "get as close to enemy so you can melee them and then shoot them/quick time instakill them"

It's quite possible that the single player might be fantastic but I think I'll have to move my pre order over to Heavy Rain and wait and see.
