Jonathan Colton at The Rio!

Postby magentahaze » 20 Feb 2010, 10:33

Hey, hey all!!!

The show's coming up on the 25th, this upcoming Thursday, and I was just wondering if anybody else, besides myself, had tickets to the show?

Her name is Rio and she dances in the sand,
Just like that river twisting through the dusty land.

I really thought that P&S had a lot better crowd response, even though their segues were long-winded. JoCo got up, said "this is a song about..." and played the song, then introduced the next song with a really short bit.

I have some video of JoCo and some of P&S that I need to up to YouTube. I should do that tonight. My battery died about 6 minutes into JoCo's set.

I saw both of them for the first time at PAX last September, and I loved it! I got really excited when a show got added here, after crazy internet demand.

I'm crazy excited to go this week, especially seeing James Urbaniak (Dr. Venture) tweet about being at a show earlier tonight.

What happened to the rest of them? Did Kathleen chew them off as a sign of wuv?

I recognize the position you were at where you recording...

Are my JoCo recordings. I think the sound quality was pretty good for just my phone.

I got there like 5:30, and was near the front of the line (nearest window to the front of the line up the stairs), so I was in a good spot to record.

I liked JoCo's stories, but Paul and Storm are rather fun too, would go to either again.

-Edit-

I have a video of the song about the dead guy, synced it up to yours, listened to both at the same time playing them, ahah, it was weird.

Though I can't get it to start up right :-/ maybe its just my computer can't handle two at once...

Eee!!! According to Paul & Storm's twitter, tomorrow's show is sold out!! Awesome!

I'm going to try and get down there early, coming from Surrey, I'll have to.

Anybody want to meet up before the show?
