Awesome! Tasteful, yet poignant. Both the scientist and the musician in me love it!

I watched this video, laughed.
I watched the video it's based off of, cried.
I read some Escapist comments, weeped.

The Escapist forums can be so stupid sometimes. I had no idea what it was in reference to, it isn't that hard to look it up. Great video and Bradley great music as always.

There's even a link on the video page, directly under the video.

I should know better by now than to be eating while watching a LRR video, but I happened to be having breakfast when I saw the update posted. I very nearly learned first-hand why bagels are deadly.
When Graham mentioned somewhere (Twitter?) that people needed to be up on their internet memes to get this video, I was worried I was wasn't, but I still go the joke just fine. Then I started to read the comments on the Escapist to see if they got it. I'm not sure what made this particular thread the tipping point, but I don't think I'll be posting there anymore.

There were some good parts but overall I liked SNL's parody better.

I generally ignore it whilst waiting for the stinger!
Didn't she sing something for the last Desert Bus?

Re: Scientist's Rebuttal to ICP
Eh. I can say in all honesty that I liked 64k better. And I really don't like the music, in this or in the original. I just found it really grating. And the scientific facts were off! It takes at least hundreds of thousands, usually millions, of years for something as morphologically divergent as a giraffe's neck to evolve from their horse (or more likely, zebra)-like ancestors. And magnetic fields are caused by electric fields moving, like the electric field emitted by electrons moving uniformly around a circuit, or electrons moving synchronously in the iron used in magnets.
Graham singing was the only good part of this. I'm sorry. It's a noble sentiment, and some of lines were funny, but I've got to give it a miss. The more serious students of science will see through your mistakes, but the casual minds, the very audience you are trying to inspire, might take it at face value, and end up really confused. Or maybe n--
By Gould, he's right! What am I saying? Keep on your noble message of the benevolence of the search for understanding and conciliation. Carry on, dear LRR, carry on!

Re: Scientist's Rebuttal to ICP
I'll be honest, this video makes more sense if you've seen the ICP video. Which makes sense, considering it's a rebuttal. I went into more detail in my Escapist post because, with some exceptions, they seem a bit slower and need the help.
I showed this to my friend, who complained that it's not funny if you have to watch another video or read another blog in order to understand the joke. Then he went to read Penny Arcade. I wasn't so much crushed by the irony as I was smothered.
And yes, we all lol'd at "But why would someone have a child with you? It's a miracle!". That was stone cold, and still funny.

Re: Scientist's Rebuttal to ICP
My brother told me I should watch the ICP video yesterday because it was funny. I didn't, but I planned to. I saw this update, almost watched the video, and saw the video link. Like seriously, wow.
However, your video, I liked quite a lot. Pretty much all of Paul's parts and the stinger. Graham's part was good too, mostly because he flowed better, but Paul's was just more hilarious.
I guess that's another reason why he's Paul.
Also, as it is worth mentioning, AMAZING job on the editing, Graham. It was like it's own sort video miracle (I really wanted to work in miracle).

Great video guys. I have never realy been a big fan of ICP (they just never really did it for me), im a huge science geek (like i was just studying my psychology before watching this), and love internet meme's so this video was like the trifecta for me.
