Next year is when I'll probably be bald... not by choice though. Damn my slightly crappy genes. But this means I create an enormous amount of testosterone (If I've read the science properly), which means that I scan put on muscle like it's going out of fashion (which, consequently, it sorta is), mixed with my high level tanning ability means that I can tan in minutes - what with being born on an island in the middle of the Mediterranean

On the subject of age... looking... ness *pause* Yeah, that looks about right.

When I was in Japan - back in 2008 - I got chatting to a Japanese waitress at a great bar that I can't remember the name of (try Shochu when you're next in Japan, it's a great alcoholic drink, btw). She was asking all sorts of questions, as she wanted to practise her English and I wanted to (as I do now) continually learn and refine my Japanese (been studying now for almost 5 years), and one of her questions was:

Japanese lady (in English): How old are you?
Me (in Japanese): guess
Japanese lady (in English, then Japanese because of my facial expression): 32?

Let me explain, I'd just turned 23 (like 2 days earlier) and had a bit of an Abe Hiroshi in Trick goatee coming on. For those of you playing the home game, imagine a dark black, thin goatee that's been shaved quite close to the skin so that it's only just a little more than stubble.

According to her, Japanese men don't have a huge amount of body hair, period. So when this devilishly hansom rogue of a Brit, with a naff goatee, was chatting her up in Japanese, she assumed that I was in my 30s. Which wouldn't have been that bad, considering that she was 31, but even so.

Until around 25, I looked older. The first time I got alcohol without bring carded was 18. But around 25 people started carding me again, as apparently I looked 21. Now most will guess my age as 25-27. Though, it is fun to flirt with the frat boys, because they'll always leave me alone if I tell my real age. :P

The first time I was ID'd for anything was when I was 23, and I'd being buying alcohol from the same store, and the same staff had served me for 5 years.

Surely, a lady never reveals her real age, and any one who has the audacity to ask a lady her age is clearly a bounder and a cad

I got a kid's discount at age 14 once. Granted, my dad's a good liar when it comes to paying less.

Um, yeah I do. It's in my profile. I am not ashamed that I'm 33, a lady and hot.

Nor am I ashamed to find you attractive for those reasons. In a totally platonic way though. While it has worked out for others, dating forumites strikes me as a bad idea, even worse than dating a friend. It's easier to find new friends than a good forum.

Thanks. :)

Um, I'm not dating a forumite, unless someone needs to tell me something.
And you do realize I could have a child your age?

I got carded the first time when I was 18. It was at the bar I had been going to for 3 years.

Hence putting "like" before the 13.. I wasn't sure if he was 18,19 or 20. I thought he was 20 though.

But still.. not unless you had a kid at 15!

I remember sitting a final exam early (We do them at 16 over here for non Brits), when I was 15 and one of my friend's water broke

That sounds..unfortunate...
Fortunately, I know no-one with children who are around my age. This may, however, be due to the fact that I am incredibly middle class and attend an all-boys school.
On another note, I'm missing the election by five months. God dammit...

I had a friend in highschool that was one of the few vocal people about abstinence.. she was pregnant by grad. Then she told me because she couldn't do it, that I couldn't do it. And got everyone to make fun of me. Now she has 3 kids by different guys, and I have none.

One of my step sisters is like that, except she doesn't know who the father of her 4 boys are because her boyfriend was in and our a jail at the times of conception for all of them. This was shortly before she had the idea of having the Inplanon (I think that's what it's called) implanted.

I don;t know what Inplanon is.. but are you thinking of the IUD? The birth control that is planted in your uterus?

I had a huge growth spurt just before I entered my teens (I think I hit puberty early :P ) and so was thought older than I really was for a few years. The only way I used that to my advantage was to buy porn mags a few years early. ;P I don't drink.

Recently though it seems people think I'm about four years [i[younger[/i] than I really am.. couldn't tell you why though. It might be the goatee, but it might also be the fact I'm on a course who's large proportion of other members are around 18...

Also, it's a little late, but Operagirl95.. Your age, if I didn't already know, would probably just make me pause for a moment if we were getting along and having fun. I don't think much could put me off, tbh, except a direct "no". Not that that's particularly relavent to anything... ;P
