Re: Split Decision
I loved this video, especially since it wasn't very predictable. I guessed that he would end up with a job suiting him, but I couldn't think of what it would be.
At the start I thought it might be a video where all the characters were different types of presenters, since Jer's happy attitude made me think he could be being a game show presenter.
Anyway, Kathleen really has some problems if she's getting STDs and still feels the urge to call up a sex line at work. =P

To quote the phailhaüs: This is very silly.
And that's what's cool about it. It's a bit like a python idea, but trying to imagine John Cleese instead of Graham makes my head explode so its just as well it isn't one.
Good work all round. Imagine the after-work drinking session where James' and Kathleen's characters work.

Kathleen looks so cute when she's being pervy.

Re: Split Decision
For me, the real standout performance in this video was Jer. He played the role to perfection, with a great progression from scene to scene as the jobs get harder (heh) to find. Graham's part was really more of a one-trick pony. Sure, you can put him in several different jobs, but it's still basically the same joke.

Excellent stuff guys, had to avoid pissing myself at the post-credits.
Over-analysing since 1991...ish?

I disagree. Graham did a good job of visual conveying that somewhere inside the announcer was a normal and very frustrated person who just lost the ability to communicate normally. Someone pointed out that this was particularly apparent after the whole drowning incident. I don't think this bit would have worked as well if he was just gleefully fucking-up every job he got. Everyone did a great job, but Graham did more than just be an obnoxious voice.

Re: Split Decision
Please let it be Paul. Except for Jer's audio sounding a bit odd to me, it was a superb video, the acting all round was particularly strong. Graham's pleased look at the end was nice, good for that character!

Aww, no flag store.
Re: Split Decision
Yeah, even though he was the other character in the video, he is also the only one of us who's done real, actual lifeguard training.Ottoman wrote:Tally's twitter post implied that it was Jer.CGAdam wrote:One question: who played the drowning person?
So he knows how to safely hide underwater for an entire line delivery.

Haha just noticed the Island Sexual Health leaflet on the desk in the last shot with Kathleen. Win

I figured as much. Didn't he say in a LRRcast that he was almost on the Oak Bay Synchronized Swimming team?

Re: Split Decision
Okay so summarising. We like Jer's up beat stuff. We love it. We also like the G-stars ending smile. When it gets all sweet. Are those the two most awesome parts? Yay or nay?
Nothing to see here.

Re: Split Decision
I would have liked to have seen a little bit more in the way of depression and, eventually, relief on the part of the announcer, but still very silly indeed and rather enjoyable.

Re: Split Decision
Wow, has it really taken me till Thursday to find the time to watch this? For shame!
Really great video, and outstanding performances from Graham and Jer. The only problem I had was Kathleen's bit; it looked pretty much like "random contorted facial expressions through the ages", rather than a believable reaction to being announced that you have herpes.

Re: Split Decision
The reactions was supposed to be more "why is it so loud, oh god people can hear me!" not actually reacting to the herpes. Which she probably already knew about.

That was pure gold. I had to bite my lip to stop laughing so loudly or I would have woken up my parents. But Man you guys hit the ball out of the park with this one.

Okay, I'll fix my previous statement:
