More like the uncanny sinkhole, am I right?
Once again, an excellent job on your part of making something out of nothing. Whatever the creators of the cinematic were going for, they didn't get there.

I can say for certain that game is actually pretty interesting.
EDIT:
Also the "Sinner's Sandwich" that appears in the game might make for a good ISC. Though I hear it's actually kind of tasty. So says Mr. Stewart.

I felt things I never wanted to feel again when those twins looked seemed to look at the camera, and into my soul.
Thank you for undermining it with humour, another victory for Unskippable.

Funny thing is, most of the jokes they made are made later by the game.
How many cutscenes are you guys going to do next week? Because you have to fit in the breakfast scene in the hotel somewhere.

When I saw the woman with the pocket watch, my first thought was to expect a Time Lord joke, but then I realised that it wouldn't make much sense :/

Here's a rather interesting article about the game if anyone is curious. [link]

...Wow. That was... interesting. Just... interesting. Out of place wailing jazz sax, random people crying, creepy twins... just plain weird.
Also, question: How many people saw the slithering thing, didn't realize what it was at first, and immediately thought "God damn, why can't Japanese games NOT include tentacles attacking women?"

Re: Deadly Premonition - Part 1
I think this was the first cutscene that I actually genuinely hated; Not the Unskippable, but the actual cutscene. I mean, how can a cutscene simultaneously have passable and horrendously bad graphics. Not to mention that the actual content was retarded. Hopefully the next one is better.
To reiterate: Good Unskippable, Terrible Cutscene (really, the worst yet, IMO)

I feel like the people familiar with this game aren't being direct enough, so let me make it clear for anyone who doesn't know:
That cutscene was intentionally horrendous. Deadly Premonition is nothing but one huge satire of survival horror/Silent Hill ripoff games. The game itself is actually pretty hilarious. Anyone who doesn't mind last-gen graphics in return for a good story should check it out.

When a cutscene is intentionally bad, it's still bad. The game might be good, but out of context this cutscene is what it is.

I never said the game was bad. I'm not in a position to make that judgment.

This is true of 100% of cutscenes.

So a cutscene can't be good out of context? Or are you commenting on the vagueness of that sentence which is, ironically, taken out of context?

I believe Arius was saying that any cutscene out of context is judged entirely by its own merits, and not the game's. So, a cutscene that is good outside of the context is good, and a cutscene outside of context that is bad is bad. So in essence, we just have a tautological statement: Good cutscene is good, bad cutscene is bad.

It seemed like it was going to be a game about zombies with the way so many of the female characters heads were moving after the scene with the lady on the tree.
