I love that Morgan's default mode is smug. Paul, if the inventory in Mass Effect is pulling you out of the experience, Mass Effect 2 drastically improves on this problem. And since I do not wish to be struck down from the heavens, I will leave it at that.

Incidentally, having read Twilight for artistic integrity (how can you say you hate a book if you haven't read it?), the Cullens have a crucifix in their house. It has no negative impact on them, but it does have the negative impact on the book of making it less tolerable to read.
