How or why did you pick your avatar (now with request)
Re: How or why did you pick your avatar
One of the few lego minifigs I kept after selling my lego collection in 2004. In hindsight it was a massive mistake, even if it sold for 800$.... I miss my Airport Shuttle (set no.6399) and other train stuff.
Also I have not changed my avatar since registering.

If that collection included anything used in Leon's Grate Adventule or the sequel, methinks no amount of money would suffice.

I cannot think of a force on this planet that would part me with my Lego collection

Re: How or why did you pick your avatar
My current avatar is a happy snake. You can find the full image if you Google "happy snake."
My previous avatar was the following serious Lego man:
I changed it because I thought people might be taking my posts to seriously. I changed it to a happy snake because if people are going to subconsciously apply the emotion portrayed in an avatar to that post (I do this, and hopefully I'm not the only one) I want that emotion to be a positive one. While I can be serious, I'm most certainly not always so.
My current snake avatar also caused some problems as well, but I won't get into that here.

Just call me Dylan. It's easier to pronounce.

Black Mage, from 8-bit Theatre, dancing along. No deep reason other than this one fits and editing the usual Marten-wtf-face avatar was going to be effort.
Still, Black Mage is awesome.

Re: How or why did you pick your avatar
I am currently on my fourteenth avatar. The first one was just a tiny image from Megarace. The others have all been animated, and uploaded to my Photobucket. Here they are, in chronological order.
(the last one on that set was was before the new board system meant if it resized your avatar, it would look like crap, so I remade it in a format that was meant to be 100*100)
There's a general theme for the avatars, though not one I stick to religiously.
Then there are the avatars that I made for the Eximworks forum:
See if you can guess the common thread for the Exim avatars.

King Kool, was that image from Megarace the one that looked like German folk singer Heino? It's the only one I remember that's not currently in your list.

One of my older avatars. Mostly used on FP and VGcats from about late 2006 to early 2008.

So THAT's what that was from. I always pretended it was a self portrait and you just wouldn't own up to it.King Kool wrote:I am currently on my fourteenth avatar. The first one was just a tiny image from Megarace.
Currently it's a Custom Zombie avatar from popcap.com I've been considering having it changed. It's been about a year now, and I usually go through a lot more than that in that sort of time span.
I'm pretty sure I used . I know I used And I'm pretty sure I used only scaled down. I know I used one of Rick Astley, but I can't fnd the one in question. Before that, I don't remember. I'm thinking there were some video game characters mixed, but I have no idea what ones.
Also a bajillion points to whoever can answer this trivia question
A while back I requested a gif be made from a loadingreadyrun video to use as an avatar. I'm not sure who made it, but that's beside the point. Upon completion of said gif, it was so epic, that under great recommendation by the forum, the crew member in question adorned that avatar for some great while.
Who was the crew member, what was going on in the gif, and what video is it from.
Even more points if you can post it.

Was it the clip of Graham doing the happy dance in his chair from a Whatever Thing?

"Some great while" implies he has it no more.
I disagree.
I believe it's Graham's current avatar, of him eating the muffin.
EDIT: Damn, nope. I just went through. Alja just randomly made that avatar. Curses.

I distinctly remember the event, just not the particulars. Might have being Paul. Or Matt.

Yes, it was. It's not there because it was never hosted on Photobucket.

Hmmm . . . I posted this, but it didn't show up. I'll try again.
