Hell's Kitchen
Hell's Kitchen
This is Kathleen's first solo-writing effort for us, and we're pretty happy about it.
If we don't have to work as hard on a given week, we're freakin' there!
Also, added bonus, it's hilarious, so it all works out.
Special guest, Brad Kirkland, whom you may remember from the Zombie Walk video, and is a pretty funny guy.

not very funny. kinda funny. and it was only kinda of funny cause he was also laughing. if he had been in great amounts of pain and concussed then not so much.
On a side not that video turned out REALLY well. And i'm not just saying that because i was in it or anything. It was just really funny.
Good job Kathleen!

Nice to see Mr. Kirkland again. I almost didn't recognize him without the coating of zombie splatter.
How much work did it take to reduce your kitchen to that state?

Why was there a giant inflatable Lemming in the microwave?
(edit) And the lava lamp!
It was a good episode, but not a great one. With multiple writers, the styles of humor bubble and collide - they transmute into pure genius. This was, like, 60%-pure genius at most. One comedic voice tends to be less rich and complex than many - multiple authors are harder to anticipate, I think, which adds to the interest.
Also, congratulations to James for an outstanding performance.

You, sir, have just made me cry.
And more than enough, might I add, for Kathleen's behalf, as well.
Multiple writers doesn't always mean a better skit, though. The Danger of Cigarettes was written by, like, ten people, and it was only okay.

I loved Danger of Cigarettes. It's one of the ones I usually use to hook people to the site.
Regardless, I thought this one was hilarious - enough so that I accidentally woke up my roommate.
Oops.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think it was as predictable as people have been saying. Though I agree about the ending being on the weak side. I think it would have worked better without the badger thing in there... or maybe if it had happened earlier.
EDIT: Danger of Cigarrettes is one of my favorite videos. It sounds like something me and my friends would have done if we weren't too lazy to do something like that.

Did you guys actually carry Brad in the sleeping bag after kidnapping him?
Pita.
And yes, but then we dropped him. It was unfortunate.
But kinda funny
Yeah... no silly concussying for me that day. Just the general ouchness of minor head injuries. They are like a dear friend to me now.
I thought the rubbing of the hands bit was very VERY funny.
The only problem people seem to have is that there is no plot resolution. They want to know how the kitchen problem is solved. It maybe a standard formula, but it's a formula that feels good.
Looking at it a second time, it's implied that Brad eventually cleans the kitchen, but it needs to be slightly more definite.
Overall, great writing Kathleen and well executed everbody else! Bravo!

That was probably my favorite part, the rubbing of the hands. Also, Paul figuring out that one can't grind in Orgrimmar.
"Only 30% away from my Intrepid Battle Axe of the Boar?" How does that work?
I also found it funny that he pointed out an enemy when there was none on the screen.
And that the Orc was like 15>.
I really liked this one guys, it was great, albeit it a little..weird at a few parts, overall Very Funny.
