Take a behind-the-scenes peek at the silk-screening process for LoadingReadyRun t-shirts.

Thank you to Shenanigans Screen Printing for making our shirts and allowing us in to take a look.

That was a pretty cool video. I'd never thought about it before, but making those shirts takes a lot more work than I realized. I guess I assumed it was just totally automated.

The more you know.

Yeah I also though it was totally automated.

What if you need to print a shirt with a lot of colours? You can't have 20 of those screens?

come to think of it I dont think I have many shirts with more than five colours. His set up is the old way acoding to graham I imagine there is a more recent way for more complex designs.

Yeah I figured so but that seems to be to much work for a shirt.

They probably charge more for more complicated designs with more colors.

Cool to see the proses and it is also cool to know that the shirts come from a local/independent place, makes me feel even more guilty for not having bought a shirt yet.

Wow, that's pretty impressive. I wanted to buy a Science shirt, but they were all out of XL, so I bought one for my friend, which is now her favorite shirt. :D But I have a question: Does Shenanigans ship them out as well, or is that up to the LRR crew?

We pick the shirts up from Shenanigans and do all the shipping ourselves.

I cannot wait to get the two shirts I ordered, and I will appreciate them more now knowing all the hard work that goes into them. Yes siree, I will be wearing a bib everytime I eat and everything.

But seriously, that work is very impressive. I believe somebody commented on the youtube video on how nice it is that you support local companies like that. Have you always been using them or have you switched?

Wow this video brought back memories. I took a class in high school where we did some photographer, some decal making, some airbrush art and some silk screening.

The shirt "oven" is waaaay better at Shenanigans though, we just had an overhead heater we had to monitor so our shirts didn't start to burn. A very interesting a fun process, though it does get messy if you're not careful.

This video makes me want to buy a shirt now...

Aha, so these are the people responsible for my misprinted Desert Bus shirt.

If you have a misprinted Desert Bus shirt, that's like a collector's edition or something. Wait until LRR gets really famous and then sell it!

As per usual, I enjoy behind-the-scenes stuff. Also, my shirt got here much sooner than I expected. Awwsome muffin!
