Made-Up Words
Okay, I don't know how exactly invented "ManiPedi" and "Mintoccino" but they must also be working for the cosmetics Industry.
I don't know what the product was but I had the TV on in the background and heard a new word during an infomercial... Cosmesutical...
Can we add that to the list of made-up words whose creators we wish to beat?
List:
-ManiPedi
-Mintoccino
-Cosmesutical
-?

He's referring to the use of "literally" in the precise manner that "figuratively" should be used, for emphasis and hyperbole.
Such as "Onlookers had their socks literally knocked off".
Did their socks really actually get removed from their feet? No. Then shut up.
"I literally wet myself I was so excited." Did you? Then shut up.

I am so shocked at this misappropriation of the English language that I am literally on fire and covered in bees.

Oh, you have no idea the amount of words our class/group of friends made up during junior high school. One of the words is actually the "container" (word document) for all the other words. We call it The Clabinet (cross of cabinet/closest our teacher said). Most of them are just nonsense we found funny and probably wouldn't make any sense to anybody here but they were hilarious back then.
lol I remembered one I DID hear on TV that was so stupid (though we did use various other forms of the word ourselves). One of the MTV shows, or VH1 I don't remember, I think it was P Diddy's "Real World"-esque show, one of the girls went shopping and bought lots of shoes...she had a SHOE-GASM! Ughh, makes me wanna smack-a-betch!

I hate all those celebrity name combos...they drive me insane.
One I like is a real word given a new and stupid meaning...I like it because I use it to piss Myche off....."Steeped" I guess only Canadians will get this one...

I don't know how to quote twice in one message so I'm doing it again:
That is most certainly NOT a real word.
There is one that most people will disagree with: proactive. That is not a word, and EVERYONE uses it. It just doesn't make sense. You can act, or you can react. You cannot proact. You cannot act before the act because that is still just an act. GAH. That is pretty much my biggest pet peeve EVER. (Literally.)
