I believe a more fully functional version of this is being worked on by someone else, but I don't know all the details.

Re: ClickQuest
Gah. This shouldn't be so damn compelling! >_<
Often outnumbered, never outpunned.
Note: in Ireland 'ye' is used as the plural of 'you'. It rather neatly avoids confusion online.

Re: ClickQuest
ok, so my task for today is to get to lvl 6 or above
Re: ClickQuest
Wow, someone made it to 10,000 already. I never made it past level 3 personally.
Ok, more details: This is a really simple proof-of-concept that I wrote in html/css/javascript last night. I was hoping for a slightly more 'authentic' representation but I wasn't able to achieve that in a browser.
I remember Alex mentioning that on ITM last week. If that project is still going ahead then that's brilliant. I don't want to step on anyone's toes if something is already being developed. If not I would like to expand my proof-of-concept with more of the features mentioned in the video, primarily the chat and persistent leveling info. I would also need to figure out a way around the limitations of the browser mentioned above (primarily font).

The current version should already work on smartphones (including the iPhone).

When I'm not working I'd rather be having real fun, plzkthx.
Re: ClickQuest
I reached level 6, but accidentally clicked a bookmark and lost all my progress.

I'd say still go for it. It's cool so far. If you get like a working leaderboard, and maybe tweak some things, can see how much people click ;D. Also worst comes to worst, you can try making like a small windowed program version in like C or something.

Re: ClickQuest
how cool woulc it be to have all the features that are in the crapshots vid but w/o the £15/$30 (i think) per month

That would be my aim. Thanks to the mindless simplicity of implementing the 'gameplay' it shouldn't be that hard either. I have a couple of ideas for the server hosting problem too.
Re: ClickQuest
Man, this could be viral lol
Re: ClickQuest
I think ClickQuest needs a facebook fanpage, I hash-tagged #clickquest on twitter a bit before.
