Lately I've been trying to learn Wakko's America from Animaniacs. It's really a very clever & useful song & it will come in quite handy for my weekly Team Trivia events. It's been popping into my head at random moments now & then which is good at the moment since I'm still memorizing it, but will probably irritate the F out of me in a week or two when it still keeps coming back, now in full.

I've heard that trying to sing the lyrics to the opening to Gilligan's Island to the tune of Amazing Grace will get any earworm out. I suspect you're just looking to replace the song with something that is unsustainable and unfamiliar, like a song that has had its lyrics swapped out for a completely different song.

Sailorman's Hymn by Kamelot got stuck in my head last night. This soothing ballad wouldn't stop playing even in my dreams so I spent a few hours today listening to my collected mp3 library - and let me tell you, cruising through the postapocalyptic waste of Fallout 2 to the beats of Sexyback was an interesting experience. But alas, come sleeptime I'm sitting here with the damn song still stuck in my head. There's a part in the second refrain I don't remember the lyrics to so it repeats with different lyrics each time, it's getting really annoying.
