Ah, a fitting sequel to Slow News Day. I lol'd all the way through, especially at Morgan (not so much at of his lines, but at his delivery).

Next time you do an A9 video, I think you should get Alex to write the lower-thirds.

Started off a bit slow, then quickly became rediculous.

Somewhere out there, an executive of an unnamed 24 hours news network has just watched this and jumped out of his chair exclaiming, "BRILLIANT!"

Once again, you've doomed us all, LLR...

It was great to see all the old A9 team in there, and nice ENN crossover with Dr Laura Holly.

TBH Pokute, I think this has already happened on some channels.

So glad to see George Carlin's critique of 'newscasters' has managed to touch a vein (perhaps subconsciously) with some people:

Brain Droppings wrote:Another way they avoid the present moment is to look ahead on their own schedules. The television news industry seems to revolve around what's coming next. "Still to come," "Just ahead," "Up next," "Coming up this half-hour," "More to come," "Still ahead," "Also later..."

They even preview what's going to happen as little as one hour later: During the "Five O'Clock News", the empty-headed prick who does the "Five O'Clock News" will suddenly say, "Here's a look at what's coming up on the 'Six O'Clock News.'" Then the empty-headed prick who does the "Six O'Clock News" will appear in shirtsleeves in the newsroom (to create the illusion of actual work) and tell you about several stories that the empty-headed prick who does the "Five O'Clock News" should have already told you about if he were really a newsman.

And so it goes, around the clock: On the "Five O'Clock News", they tell you about the "Six O'Clock News"l at six O'Clock, they tell you about eleven; at eleven, they plug the morning news; the morning man promos the noontime lady, and, sure enough, a little after noon, here comes that empty-headed prick from the "Five O'Clock News" to tell you what he's going to do...on the "Five O'Clock News".

You know, if a guy were paranoid, he might not be blamed for thinking that the people who run things don't want you dwelling too much on the present...

Great job, folks; it had me grinning throughout the video.

It was really slow at the start, although as soon as the Ted bit hit it just took off. Good job.

Morgan is totally wearing pants.
It's just a comically large jacket.

Oh god... oh god... holy shit you guys, I was laughing so hard at the end that I was having trouble breathing. When the video started, I thought, "Oh, this is kind of funny, yes, I hate when news programs do this."

But holy shit! Things picked up super fast, and eventually everything was just snowballing into a giant clusterfuck of ridiculous. Absolutely perfect. Some of the best writing you guys have ever produced. Top notch.

The amazing thing for me is that we managed to get Geoffrey (who lives in Vancouver now and just happened to be in town) and Chris (who's hair hasn't been like that since we shot Slow News Day FIVE. YEARS. AGO.) on such short notice.

Seriously, that's his actual hair, and it's been short for years. Fluke!

You know you can use binder clips to tighten up over-large jackets like that, right? And it was for comedic effect? Right?

Right?

Am I alone in finding this news-cast better to watch than any real news-cast?

Oh wait, this is funny..., GENIUS!!!

Come on all you news-casters reading this (probably a small number, I know), start having FUN!
