"But I thought you said the orange juice was the internet..."

That would've rocked!

That would have been funny, but I believe we filmed the Internet one last. We actually filmed all of them on the same day when I was visiting the guys while I was at a conference in Victoria.

I didn't get to see how all of these segments were made but the Explanations Guy segment was pretty much all Graham just coming up with things on the spot.

Congratulations guys, I thought you did a great job.

See you in Nanaimo at the festival January 20th.

Looking back, I did enjoy the whole thing :). While I didn't laugh out loud, I did smile at the whole thing.

Sorry if we offended you, Graham.

Why do you suppose Paul took off his glasses for the "Twisted Fairy Tale Moral" sketches?

Obviously an homage to Sir Bedevere the wise from Holy Grail who had to lift the grate on his helmet to better dispense his wisdom.

So it was more of a "character" and less of "Paul".
Also, it's rare to see a children's show host with glasses, as it can be a barrier to connection for kids.

Just how well does he see without glasses?

'Paul has no nose.'
Oh, really, how does he smell?
I'm leaving this one open.

7/10, very graceful, shame about the stumble at the end.

Except for Mr. Dress-up. Who, for non-Canucks, was kickass (may he rest in his Tickle-Trunk in peace.)

Mr. Dress-Up was my favourite person in the world. My favourite thing was when he made mistakes on his drawings and would scratch it out and just say "and that's how you fix it when you make a mistake" because that is STILL what I do when I mess up. A zig-zag line makes everything go away.

I was just gonna post to ask if you had still intended to make some changes to it as you mentioned you would (not that I'm complaining, mind you -I still think the old storytime bits didn't detract), and I noticed the time of the vid had changed (Yeah, I tend to notice these things for some reason), and lo and behold.... :)

Off to download it.....

Be back in a few hours....

damn dialup.....

Out of all the jokes in all of these Rapidfires, I have to say that the only one that made me laugh audibly in ALL FIVE was the news-anchor with technical difficulties. Bravo. I'm still trying to determine if Graham was saying the words we're supposed to think he said, or if he was reading a "clean" script.

I, too, thought that the antiques appraiser was initially distracted by Kayt's cleavage. I was VERY relieved when I realized he was distracted by the extreme value of the object. VERY relieved that Graham wasn't sitting there scoping out his little sister. I was also glad that there was finally a break to the usual punchline for this motif, although winding up the musical snowglobe in the previous episode was comedy GOLD.

Now it is the time in my post that I nit-pick and make comments that serve very little value.

The guy "waking up a little funny" from the first installment would have made for a nice continual character. Each time he's going through the show doing normal things, and then at the very end, there's some sort of punchline involving wordplay with "funny."
"Hey, I scored some tickets to the funnycar races this weekend. Wanna go?"
"Ow! I hit my funnybone!"
etc...

But that would defeat the point of sleeping funny. The whole day's activities wouldn't really seem odd.

Just to mention: I thought this version was very, very funny, now that I can concentrate on the jokes and not wonder why it's eerily familiar.

Shame about the lighting, but that's life. It might even make that particular skit more realistic.

Is it Geoffrey Tomlin-Hood or Geoffrey Tomlinson-Hood?
