Who's got two thumbs and has a "reading week" (aka slacking off and not catching up on the course reading you should have done) the week of desert bus?!

Oooooh yeah!

I remember them doing rewritten versions of songs with a desert bus angle like 'yellow desert bus' and my favorite 'like a bus'.

Well I found THE perfect song to modify for that (that is assuming you can pull it off).

A little background.

Back when this was made you payed for a subway ride when you got off rather than before you got on.

Anyway it's a campaign song about a man who may be forced to ride the rails forever.

Thank you, I do try. The colors progressed a bit further from here, Octopimp is looking great, and everybody's looking fine.

Like I'd do art to someone's request, you mean? I don't know... I'm open to it. If people are interested I'll talk to Tally and the rest of the crew and see if we can work that out, which I'm not sure we can with the current system any more, but I'm definitely open to it.

If you meant something else, by the way, let me know.

Chemistring did that 50/50 item last year, and all she did was write on a blank card the details. I'm sure Tally will be able to help you figure something out.

I know, it's just that the craft along system has changed, and it's now harder to do something that isn't a finished product in Lrr's hands by November (unless, of course, you're the Value Added one). In my next correspondence with the crew (which should be around the middle of this week) I'll definitely bring it up.

Speaking of which, I have to double check Ken Steacy's eye color for the poster.

Custom items for auction should still work under the new system, the crew just doesn't have to run a live on-cam auction for each item. I'm doing the 50/50 craft pack again this year and Tally didn't think it would be a problem. The item doesn't have to be completed during Desert Bus, it's more like a gift certificate for future work.

At least that was my understanding. (Amazing work on the poster, by the way!)

great! Thanks, Chemistring! I'll definitely look into it. may haps i can offer something interesting, like custom micro animation. Painting/Poster/Single drawing would be easier though, we'll see.

I should make a micro animation promoting desert bus though... that'd be cool.

For now though, poster.

I am so looking forward to Desert Bus this year. It's my second Desert Bus and my first LRRniversary, as Desert Bus last year brought me here in the first place. Unfortunately, I can't watch all of it do to school and such.

"Such" being sleep.

Darn, if only Desert Bus started one or two hours later. I guess I'll be a little bit late to the party this year by an hour or so, due to having to perform in a percussion ensemble concert.

Is anyone else having problems with the desertbus.org page? I can see the new countdown clock, but there's no donation link and the most recent post is the craft-along post from May. I've tried clearing the cache in both Firefox and IE, but so far no luck.

I hate to be the one to say this, but isn't this DBFH 4, not 3? :/

this is a memorial poster, started during DB3, and only be finished now. If I do one for DB4, it'd be up for DB5. Issue answered?
