You have to get i separately, but it does'nt cost money until june 2007 or around there. You find it in the shopping channel on the wii.

How easy is it to set up the wireless connection on the Wii? One of my friends couldn't get it to work with his router; is that common?

once I bought, and set up my router so that it was working properly, it took me roughly 15 seconds to get my wii online.
