IRC (we're still there)
It's come to my attention that our sticky thread that so valiantly promoted the (somewhat) official IRC channel for LRR has been removed. Seeing as I have no other way of luring you lot to my lair, I'll simply repost the details here and those who are daring enough to cross into the realm of livechat, feel free to join and become my underling.
Server irc.arg-irc.net channel #LoadingReadyRun
And hopefully we'll see you soon.

Last time I was in there, nobody was actually a LRR fan. It was weird :/

When was that? Where you expecting people there to talk about LRR 24/7?

You come for the shared background, geeky stuff, games, computers, actively chatting with people. You stay because we are awesome and you've accidentally signed a contract that you've never seen or heard of.

Sorry guys, I unstickied it because it had been months since anyone posted in it.
HOLY SHIT GUYS! BEARS!
Re: IRC (we're still there)
Well, it wasn't one of those threads that you expect a lot of posting in, but is needed otherwise the channel dies off as no one knows it exists...

Re: IRC (we're still there)
Ottoman, everyone in there is pretty much a LRR fan, but very rarely are any of us actually discussing LRR.

Re: IRC (we're still there)
I realise that it isn't a channel for discussing LRR. I was in there one time, and at least two of the handful of people there said that they never watched LRR. Maybe I just have shit luck; I've never seen more than a few people there at a time not idling.

Admittedly when spend more time talking about random stuff than LRR proper on these forums.
We are all made of star dust. However we are also made of nuclear waste.

Re: IRC (we're still there)
I think I had a similar experience to Ottoman, where people were on and were discussing the latest video and some people literally said "What's lrr?"...
I try to go back sometimes, but when I do, it seems like no one is talking... maybe I go at the wrong times.

Well, the issue is with some of the most active members.
Asellus, Magick, and Melbel, all frequent chatters, don't watch it.
So the rest of us who DO watch LRR get eclipsed.
It doesn't help I so rarely log in...
Speaking of which...

Re: IRC (we're still there)
But, how did they even get there? And why, after all this time, do they still have no interest in coming to LRR?
I think I just don't get IRC.

Asellus owns the room and is bloody awesome.
Magick, likewise, is awesome, and is an IRCop (and while he doesn't like to the attention [sometimes], is the owner of the servers).
...Hellz if I know how Melbel got there.
I think she just got tired of YOGTAS's bullshit so joined the better channel.

Soul-binding contract nonwithstanding, of course.

Re: IRC (we're still there)
We don't tend to actually discuss LRR, primarily because there's only so much you can talk about. It's got the same diversity of conversations as the forum.
IRC is an interesting medium because you tend to get a lot of people who show up in a good channel simply because it is a good channel, regardless of the original purpose of the channel.

Re: IRC (we're still there)
Yea, all the conversations (both hillarious and awesome) were not LRR related at all.
If you do show up, please stick around because we may be talking about something seemingly disturbing when taken out of context.
Happens all the time.
Gotta roll with it.
