Conan!

Postby Taisaku86 » 08 Nov 2010, 21:39

The premier of Conan O'Brien's new show is in roughly half an hour. In spite of the fact that I'm massively behind in my readings and need to get up in the morning, I'm staying up to watch it.
Anyone else gonna be watching?

I feel the same way to the one who reminded me.

Anyway, it's pretty great so far. He really has a sense of humor about himself and the whole fiasco, which is great.
I can't say the guests are too thrilling though. I'm neutral on Seth Rogen and am not a fan of Glee.
Jack White's awesome though, I'll report on how his segment is.

Hmm, can't say it was really my style, but seeing Conan play alongside Jack White (and the Basic Cable Band) was pretty cool.
All in all Conan's comeback was a success with me though. It feels like a return to form.
Dunno how often I'll be able to catch the show, though.
I'm sure I'll regret this tomorrow morning :(

I'm likely to be one of the multitude of people to have this sentiment, so I'll just borrow words from Jimmy Carr.

"It's a bit like how I felt when Diana died.

I couldn't give a fuck."

Don't feel bad about forgetting; you weren't the only one.

I would have watched it, but I don't get cable (I just have ears and a box so I just get the basic basic channels)... Maybe I'll be able to find it somewhere on the internets legally

TBS` website, http://www.tbs.com, has clips from the premiere up. Doesn`t look like the whole show is there but a lot of it is.

Hither came Conan, the Cimmerian. Black haired, sullen-eyed, a thief, a reaver, a slayer

(For the record, O'Brien appears before "...the Barbarian" in the Wiki's 'autocomplete' for "Cona-"; both get beat out by 'College Of the North Atlantic' in Google, tho...)
