Now we know why Graham edited the Wiki that day. Tricky bastard.

Great episode. I don't understand a thing about Magic (or magic), but I found this quite hilarious, regardless.

Edit: Now I need to figure out why he edited Matt's page.

This video was the last nudge I needed to revive my old Magic deck and beat my housemates into oblivion with it.

There goes a good £40...

On the plus side for Alex: One of it's hallmarks is the Ornithopter  (This is in order to bounce it back and forth for ninja cards, yay for actual battle strategy!)

Best CH in a while, and a great video. Loved it!

Other than the really blatant fuckery (am I, Graham?), I must wonder how much of Alex's magic was camera tricks.

When I saw what this was about, I figured it would either be very good, or very bad. Fortunately, it was the former. This is pretty much exactly what a good playgroup of Magic is like. The one guy who is completely unstoppable that everyone tries to beat who then finally gets beaten down by someone's cheesy theme deck that "plays cards no one plays."

However, come on Graham. If Alex inexplicably changes his Doom Blade to a Lightning Bolt, inexplicably change your White Knight to a Silver Knight. LEARN TO PLAY.

Also, Tim! :D With a confirmation that he's pretty much leaving for good. :( Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure the stinger was meant to mimic the audience reaction.

I loved this one so much I watched it twice in a row, which was good because I totally missed Kathleen popping out in the background in the card store the first time.

Sigh.

Video was hilarious, especially Alex's conjuring skills. Brilliant use of camera tricks too, so props to the editors/directors.

This episode was so funny. Especially Tim who is missed.
I like the further ICP dig although I fear it has reached the end of it's usable life.
Also the fast back and forth during the magic games was really well done. And I enjoyed the total mind fuck Alex kept pulling.
"did I say sword? I meant Fire bolt."
"You don't even have a fire deck!"
"Don't I?" *sly grin*
So fuckin awesome.
I will say one bit of criticism, Crap shots are hilarious however I hate that as a semi-religious viewer I get a few of the jokes early and they aren't as funny when employed the second time around. That being said. The "I conceed" Joke was different enough from it's seed Crap Shot as to still be hilarious.

I'm not sure if that was actually a Crap Shot reference. I definitely didn't see it as one. I figured conceding was a Magic thing.

James wore a poppy and I saw it, just to say thank you for remembering the veterans!

Good episode I've been laughing it up. And all the scenes with Tim were hilarious as was the whole video frankly.

Damn, I was hoping I'd be the first one to post about the "I conceed" line. Good to see Alex as an official Hustle member but it's also sad to see Tim go. The immediate replacement was funny with the mechanical sound pretty much as soon as Tim leaves. To reiterate many other people in this thread, the camera tricks for Alex's magic was great and probably why this episode took so long to complete.

Man, I played too much Magic in undergrad... and I sucked. We used to draft, which I liked and building a deck was fun. But then we would play tournaments and I got so bored because I would lose... ah memories.

But yes, I loved the video and I am totally like Matt in that I would put out a few land cards and one of my friends would have beaten me before I had put out anything useful.

Plains, Steppe Lynks. It needs to be a new "you just got TOLD!" phrase.

Edit: Just saw the Gorrillaz shirt. SO COOL!

SO GOOD. I don't have a whole lot else to say, other than that I liked the ICP ref even if it is a bit old, and the opener/stinger were pure meta-awesome.

I am curious, what was the app that you guys were using at around the 3 minute mark for tracking damage?

Also, great video.

Guys... really... I think it was the best LRR video in months. Tim/Alex's lenses/Kathleen at the card shop/Wiki joke/ICP references/more Tim/Kathleen's cat deck (forgot the name ;))/more Tim...

Just wow. Saw it already 5 times today. Now I'm going to watch it AGAIN.

Video was awesome. Laughed. Showed it to Magic playing friends.
However, I have two important questions I am going to ask in the Podcast thread as soon as it is up concerning the kitties deck.

Carry on, then.

Can't find it on the App store. Are you sure it's not MtGdb, which links into Gatherer?

Edit: Or maybe Gathering? That looks close.
