Gotta say, I do like the fact that she's taking the piss out of her own videos now.

Could it all be a put-on? Could this be Andy Kaufman level genius here?

Exactly, this was kind of my point earlier. Axe was never pandering. Boring, yes, but never pandering.

So a lot of you have said she got better in her later episodes, so I decided to watch her latest one. I can't finish it. It got worse. WORSE! Sorry guys. I'm done with this. It's clear I'm not in the demographic for this and don't enjoy it at all.

Don't apologise.

It's the show's fault that it is terrible, not yours.

I guess.

I and my roommate both found this one lulzy.

Never seen one before. Decided to watch the dog one today. Aside from referring to dogs as doggeh, I don't really see what the problem is.

I couldn't help but notice some complaints about Axe, and just wanted to point out that there's absolutely nothing more boring than watching relatively-normal people playing D&D.

There's a reason the PA D&D podcasts were popular, and a reason the Robot Chicken D&D podcasts were watchable - the individuals involved were all greatly aware that the game itself holds almost no interest for anyone not directly involved in playing it.

-----

As far as the OP goes, this show is neither good nor bad. The show is pandering, but it doesn't give itself completely over to that. Foiles is hardly a Chobot - she's not just parroting marketing for the latest game to fork money over to the site.

Yeah, I'm now treating the one I liked as a fluke. The dog one was staggeringly dull.

That must be it. I bet she's on an internet forum right now, posting under a different persona, complaining about how much she hates the Top 5 show.

I decide to leave this series for a while, since it was allegedly improving. I watched the dog episode.

And fast-forwarded through most of it.

Boooooooring...

made a point to watch the other episodes, went from ugh to meh. Still not something I really care about. She should just do the intros and skip the whole top 5s

I know what you mean. I did think it was kind of sad that the badge for one of the coolest video game characters of all time, Duke Nukem, is only accessible through this show instead of something more objectively awesome and relevant like say... Doomsday Arcade. But hey, whatever works I suppose?

Anyway, I do think the show is getting progressively better. I haven't wanted to kill myself through any of them except the blonde episode.

I usually watch it if I'm momentarily bored after viewing something else on the Escapist. Other than that, it's not really worth the time.

I watched the Disney one and it actually made me chuckle. Though this might be because I'm a huge Disney whore, so...

Can't she just drag her online comedic video series onto The Escapist? Sure that'd be an umpteenth series they have now, but with the half min I watched of one episode and the non-top 5y stuff she does in her escapist videos, it'd be a good thing. I find her funny. Not really when she's acting like a dumb blond.
