I don't think I've ever actually heard any TVotR. But David Sitek's solo stuff is really, really good, so I'll definitely look into the new album

I cannot remember the exact title of the song but it was the main piano theme for Godzilla vs Mothra vs King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All Out Attack (such a great title). I played it 7 hours straight whilst working on a university project.

I think the fact I listened to this 5 times in a row today means it might be a growing obsession; That's Not My Name.

Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell. Also, a frankly irrational quantity of Boris; Flood, Heavy Rocks, Pink & Smile haven't left my rotation in yonks. Here's a sampler.

This seems like a better place to ask than than the Favorite Song thread: Can anyone recommend any really well done mashups? I'm always in the market.

American Edit, a mashup of American Idiot is quite good.

I also like Da-Tah, a mashup of Ta-Dah, the second Scissor Sisters album. London Kiss (Kiss You Off/London Calling) is really good.

Been digging The Best Band You Never Heard In Your Life and Make A Jazz Noise Here. Both were recorded during Frank Zappas final rock tour. The tour was aborted partway through, but there are several albums from it, each with different material (due to the large and changing setlists).

One of the most notable aspects of these albums are the crazy cover songs. They range from Ravels "Bolero" to "Ring Of Fire" to goddamn "Stairway To Heaven" and more.

Anything by Girl Talk, times about a million.

I also still really like The Gray Album.

Thanks all for the suggestions; The Gray Album has never left my mp3-player. I just remembered that team9 exist (collective nouns are for suckers), so that should occupy me for a while.

I've been listening to some Merzbow.

And recently got into Secret Chiefs 3.

And a lot of stuff on my Pandora.

Having run through the whole of TV on the Radio's discography to the point of insanity, I'm revisiting the musical stylings of Everclear, a band I was practically raised on... I had a weird childhood. Still fantastic.

I don't know if it's an obsession, but I have the recognizable baseline from Sunshine Of Your Love preceding and following the chorus from Cocaine in my head, because my mom was playing them and other songs today. >.<

Not as much an obsession as just stuck in your head, then again ... songs I'm obsessed with have a tendancy of getting stuck in my head and then I need to listen to them to make it stop. xP

Yes!

Also yes! White Wine in the Sun is my favourite Christmas song.

I'm currently addicted to The World/Inferno Friendship Society. (May not be the best quality video, there's a ton up there.)
