They can also make it even more absurd (with the exception of Blood Seeker, of course)

@theDreamer:

That's why in the Deciever Exarch/Splinter Twin Combo decks they have red removal to make sure that doesn't happen. It works pretty well from what I've seen.

I know, but white and black also have plenty of removal, and if you're running a Soul Sisters/Suture Sisters deck you could seriously still screw their shit up.

Soul Sisters runs more creatures than exarch twin has removal. Plus, brave the elements

Woooooo my Nevinyrral's Disks arrived!

It's only 3 of the 6 I actually ordered from two different places for a total of over £60 and they took almost a month to arrive despite arriving in the UK two weeks ago, but I have Disks! Woooooo!

That would probably make it the best non-unhinged flavour text since 9th edition Lava Axe.

The way my friends and I do it is just to play using cards or the mtgdeckbuilder.net tester and post what we're doing onto MSN. It works out a lot better than it sounds, and isn't as confusing as you'd think. if anyone wants a game like that then PM me

I use Cockatrice, the program's a little clunky though so I don't like using it too much.

Yeah, I played for the first time 3 days ago, and I didn't know all of the protocol of it (Like you always allow the opponent to take the next turn instead of passing the turn.) If I could dive in with a fellow noob, I think it would be rewarding.

With the summer holidays coming up, my friends and I will be play a lot of Magic. So I was thinking of mixing it up and having a 1-day multiplayer game between all 9 of us, where I was the GM to keep everything in order.

However, to make it more fun, I was thinking that at the end of each turn I could introduce a card at random such as Heartbeat of Spring or Braids, Conjurer Adept. Is there any glaringly obvious reason why this won't work, and can anybody think of any other cards that make multiplayer games rediculous that I could include?

Are you familiar with the Planechase variant? Because that seems to do something very similar to what you're trying to do.

http://mtgsalvation.com/commander-spoiler.html

We're at 14/51 new cards spoiled.

Also, we know at least one deck will be getting Lightning Greaves, and each is getting a Sol Ring.

On that page is:
Each of the 5 new dual commanders.
4/10 of the new wedge commanders.
1 card showing the new "Join Forces" mechanic
3 cards that really show off the multiplayer aspect of the format
1 poo monster (sorry, sewer horror)
I can put my hands in my head, and I can laugh it in the face.

It should be noted that all but 3 of these cards have been spoilered with WotC's permission.

The only reason I'm linking to mtgsalvation's master list and not WotC's Here is because WotC's is a little behind.

The don't have the 4 cards they let go up at midnight today: two on their website, one on mtgcommander.com, one on star city games.

Edit: oh look, two more went up since I last posted.

Okay, my next EDH deck will be built around Mimeoplasm. I don't care that I have U/G and mono-black EDH deck. Mimeoplasm touches me in all the right ways.

Death by Dragons seems like a fun multiplayer card. Even better in Archenemy, I would think.

I have a feeling I'm going to end up buying all of these decks.

All of them are just so brilliant.

So many people are complaining that these cards aren't rape as shit.

My response: no, they are balanced, and as such, brilliant.

As I'm sure I've mentioned, I plan on getting Mirror Mastery, so I can summon myself in dragon form and rape shit, and the cards that are spoiled for that deck (Edric is the likely dual commander, Animar, and Trench Gorger) all make my heart flutter.

Tariel is also great: she lets you run nearly every angel, AND IS SO AWESOME SERIOUSLY I DON'T UNDERSTAND HER HATERS.
I can put my hands in my head, and I can laugh it in the face.

New design from me in a fairly new style (Previous decks were U/B control and U/R artifact)
Gorgon Nest wrote:Artifacts
2x Basilisk Collar
2x Gorgon Flail
2x Nemesis Mask
2x Quietus Spike

Creatures
4x Nether Traitor
4x Overgrown Battlement
3x Prized Unicorn
4x Sisters of Stone Death
2x Vexing Shusher
4x Vine Trellis

Instants
3x Gaze of the Gorgon

Sorceries
3x Cultivate

Enchantments
2x Asceticism
2x Golgari Germination
4x Spidersilk Armor

Land
7x Forest
4x Golgari Rot Farm
4x Overgrown Tomb
6x Swamp
The walls provide some mana acceleration and defense, with Prized Unicorn serving as a field wipe for the opponent's creatures when combined with Basilisk Collar (netting some pretty sweet lifegain too) or simply Gorgon Flail.

Quietus Spike can also be used to get rid of some more creatures, or on Nether Traitor to slice the opponent's life in half. Traitor's retrieval method combined with Golgari Germination gives a nice weenie generation, and with Spidersilk Armor the total lack of fliers in the deck becomes a minor inconvenience at best.

The big move for this deck though is the Sisters, which get some mana savings from Nemesis Mask, allowing for just 2 mana per enemy creature to remove them from the game outright (allowing things like regeneration and indestructibility to be bypassed), later being retrieved for 4 mana each onto my side of the field.

Thinking of removing the Shushers and possibly also the Germinations, potentially for some insta-kill like Doomblade or infection-kill effects like Nettlevine Blight, but I'm not entirely certain.

Lying: Like the deck, but I like Gorgons. It's a cool idea, but I can't really offer advice on it.

Everyone: The greatest card has been printed, and it is Acorn Catapult
