Interrupt This Program
Heh! Graham finished this at about 4:30 in the morning, so I watched for the first time this morning too! Really funny!

Re: Interrupt This Program
Thought the joke was drawn out a little too long, but it was worth it in the end of the stinger . Quite good chaps
Re: Interrupt This Program
This video was funny, but only because the punchline was brilliant. The whole infomerical listing off illnesses got a bit too repetitive, and could probably have stood more Dr. Kathleen Commentary to break up the monotony.
The first bit with Matt was awesome as well.

Re: Interrupt This Program
That was rather short and simple, but had me grinning like an idiot for all 3 minutes. Loved the references to Magic and Morgan's Problem. Also good to see the ENN desk getting one last moment of glory.

Re: Interrupt This Program
Shrieking Explosive Diarreha, that's an old call back.
Whilst I enjoyed it, I felt that Alex was good, but Paul would have done better. This is only because I've seen more of Paul doing the physical comedy in sketches and think he nails it better than anyone on the crew.
But, yeah, I loled.

I had a case of Orcish Oriflamme once. However people object to you running around punching people out just so you can show them the symptoms and justify its a legitimate condition.

Re: Interrupt This Program
Great video! One thing I have been wondering for the longest time is why you don't record the hissing noise of the mic so that you can insert it when there is no dialogue? That or use some noise cancelation. It would make the sound in some voice over videos more consistent.

The ending of this video made me sad. And then I laughed. And then I was sad again.
I honestly have no other way to describe my feelings toward this video.

Shitting Dick Nipples that have Shrieking Explosive Diarrhea somehow manages to be so much worse than either of them on their own.

Re: Interrupt This Program
Grr, have at you rich people. Three straight minutes of Alex derping is a winning video in my book.
The fact that Graham finished this video in the fagend of the morning (on his birthday too) lends it a pathos it wouldn't otherwise have.

Rocking.
Re: Interrupt This Program
It is my opinion that the symptoms lists were too drawn out. Too much wait for not enough punch. Matt's bit at the beggining was the highlight. Kinda went down hill from there.

Re: Interrupt This Program
I completely disagree with the people who said that the joke went on for too long. I thought it was very well done, and the way things got more and more ridiculous, especially with the arrows, made this work really well. The punchline was absolutely amazing, and made the length of the joke worth it.
I was expecting that something really mundane would be claimed to cure all of those things, with the implication that everyone is in contact with this thing all of the time, so nobody would be ill. However I think your version was much funnier.

Re: Interrupt This Program
While Alex's performance was great, saying as much in the front page kinda foiled the effect. What really impressed me was Graham's voiceover as he gradually got more and more worked up about all this stuff.
I'm with ZigZag, the shaggy dog aspect wasn't overdone. But then, I'm a big fan of shaggy dog stories, so I may be biased.
And Matt? What can I say, he's still got that delicious anger on tap.
Thanks for cheering up my week, with all this damn rain and drizzle out here...(why did I come back from vacation? )

While I agree that the symptom list may have been drawn out (I remember starting to get tired of listening to random symptoms even if some of them were hilarious), I have to say I think that helped rather than hurt once the punch image showed up.
Re: Interrupt This Program
Yeah, I have all that. Not fun. I hate you rich people. *flips off a random mansion*
I have a quick question though. In the update post for this video, it was mentioned that Alex's physical acting was entirely improvised as he went along. Does this mean he just made random pain motions and Graham turned them into diseases, or did Graham tell him the diseases and Alex (SOMEHOW REMEMBERING ALL OF THEM) turned them into motions?
Also, I had been expecting something along these lines at the end:
Graham: *done listing off diseases* If so, then you need Canada Dry Club Soda!
Alex: *looks shocked or angry as someone gives him a can*
Graham: Nothing like being clubbed to take your mind off those life-threatening problems.
The stinger was also pretty funny and unexpected. Thumbs-up!

Re: Interrupt This Program
Another awesome video. Dr Kathleen's interruptions and The Grand Narrator getting more and more worked up, in my opinion, were perfectly timed to stop the joke from feeling too long.
