So I did a thing. I like it.

Also blatant advertising of my own shit.

I like it, too.

Nice to listen to while I play a Freelancer-wannabe with better mining (and actual crafting), and *technically* better graphics, but everything else seems...meh.

Got a lot more done that I usually do in a half-hour (usually save-n-quit before that point and switch to an MMO or whatnot).

Kudos!

Subscription based gaming is very difficult for me to swallow. When my friends stopped playing WoW I was more than happy to stop paying for it.

At least when I'm poor the games I own already aren't going anywhere. Come to think of it: WoW (like other sub-based MMOs) is a gold digging hussy, hanging around with a lot of desperate nerdy guys for as long as they pay up.

Well if you enjoy an MMO, they are generally pretty good value for the money. It's just when you stop enjoying it or don't have time, but continue to pay anyways, that it starts being a money-sink.

Meh; I'm like you on the $15/mon issue, Minion (mind if I call you Minion?)

...so what I do is go with the 'Freemium' MMOs - ones that permit free-to-play...with the opportunity to 'speed past the grind' with a subscription, or access to more content for same, or having highly-desired gear/features/etc purchasable via micro-transactions.

Take DDO:Stormreach - I've let that fall by the wayside for some months now, but it even permits you to 'earn store points' through your questing and thus unlock more adventures, which give the opportunity to earn more points, etc. etc. to the end that even a cheap-ass like me can conceivably experience virtually ALL the content in the game without ever having to shell over so much as a penny. :)

I may try DDO. Any good on the content side?

Also is it not all busted korean and empty coding?

Yes, but only if you also carry around a broadsword and refuse to answer to anything other than "Thorax the Impaler"

Mr. A played the long game with NGGYU; as you can see, it paid off. Musta been tough to keep up the act around the turn of the century publicly claiming to hate the song.

Edit: And I missed a hat. Damn it. This will have to wait until I get home.

I know the LRR guys are known for making a lot of videos at once, but this is a little bit unreasonable:
Image

(Not pictured: the screenful of little popup boxes letting me know that there are new updates...)

[edit] Ah, the Escapist added "This person came from the RSS feed" tags to all the URLs, and then for some unknown reason added them to all the guid values too (they're identifiers! you're not supposed to change them!) so the feed reader thought that all the videos in the feed were brand new, 'cause they had new IDs. Fun.
While no one overhear you quickly tell me not cow cow.
but how about watch phone?

So, apparently, if all goes to plan, i'll be taking the podcast I do on the road.

We've been invited to the RoosterTeeth convention to have a panel in Philadelphia. Taking a few of the guys with me to, from what we're planning, do a live show there at the panel.
