So, excuse me for not adding to the discussion/thoughts yet, all I got is ... I hope the guy gets fucking raped in prison.

I was sad when I heard of this. Then I read in Extrabladed (they write half lies and you should not believe the rest) that the fact that he liked war-games may have something to do with it...god dammit

bbc news came on. Guess which story came up first? Options are amy winehouse and norway shooting. At least norway seems to be getting more air time

Wow, CNN is talking about Norway, and not something trivial. CBC News World is busy showing an interview with someone I don't care about, who has nothing to do with Norway. BBC is talking about Winehouse.

Damn, only 1 in 3. Who'd think the American channel would be the one talking about something that matters?

Also, CNN has updated the death toll to 92, and they have a suspect, a right-wing Christian Norwegian who is known to have written vehement anti-Islamic rhetoric.

The article linked in the original post just says there was an explosion in Oslo & goes on to describe the devastation. I hope there is more information available than that.

I first heard about the situation last night on Twitter when people suddenly started Tweet condolences to Norway with no other context. WTF to the whole mess. Are the incidents connected?

@Deedles Halfway down the page it jumps right to the bombing info without much context. I've done more reading elsewhere & found the shooter has been connected to the bombing, as well as other details. Since this was the first article I read on the situation it was a tad confusing.

No, I'm fortunate enough to have never been raped, thank you, nor (to my knowledge) do I personally know anyone who has been. But I do know rape is a horrible personal violation that I don't think should be joked about or wished upon anyone, no matter what they may have done. This isn't the first time I've seen it happen here; I'm just not letting it pass without comment this time.

That psychotic, twisted, fucker shot and killed, what we know so far, to be 92 kids! And for what? Because he disagreed with their political view? Because he enjoys killing?

In my eyes he isn't human, and, in my eyes, he deserves pain. Disagree with it as much as you want, but you will not change my opinion. Rape isn't a word that I throw around easily, but considering what he did I'm saying it and I am 100% serious.

My favorite line was from the initial BBC Press Release where they listed the suspect as "a tall, blonde man".... in Norway. Oh shit, he's everywhere!

In all seriousness, though, this is appalling. I fail to see how "right-wing anti-islamic rhetoric" translates to "murdering innocents and children in your home country", even if you are insane. This man needs a lot of help. Norway has my deepest sympathies.
