This is my 5000th post. I have been on the forum over six years. While 5000 posts ain't what it used to be I am going to be self centred and create a thread over it. However I am not going to pull a Cake and stop posting although I sometimes think I spend too much on this forum.

*sigh* Yeah...

But hey, it's not like any of them DIED; they simply moved on to other things - Cake himself apparently has been doing quite well in his post-LRRite time (and more power to him!).

Nothing lasts forever; change is inevitable, and trying to force something as vibrant and organic and mutable as 'a forum community' to remain unchanging all too often kills it with stagnation. Far better to 'go with the flow'.

And remember - we'll ALWAYS have the good times we'd shared with them, the arguments, the shared jokes, the joyful discussions...

...and even if Paul ends up having to erase archives of older posts (which, while a pretty unlikely 'if', is still possible), we'll always have our own memories.

I like that this forum has sprouted some fantatic online and irl life relationships. Look at the G+ hangouts! It makes me smile to see how many people fill their time getting to know other interesting and unique people from around the world.
