Wait, that Duke Nukem thing actually happened? Checkpoint has actually given me some news that I hadn't heard. This is a startling development.

Also, cutting away from HD was hilarious. I lost my shit when it extended to the ending credits. As an aside, two of the three videos today have had jokes within the ending credits.

Blizzard: The next powerhouse in the global economy? Probably.
This was probably the most informative Checkpoint yet, and one of the most entertaining ones.

I had that problem in Chrome, instead of bothering to find out what plugin that might be I just tried Firefox and that seems to work fine for me.

I posted this in the Diablo 3 thread but it probably deserves a mention here. Ladies and gentlemen I present to you Blizzard's newest potential customer -

Between the cHustle open and the one caption from the first story, I have to wonder who among who guys is currently addicted to dubstep?

But yeah, I lost it when you pixelated everything. Although now I'm even more upset that Ledo & Ix doesn't update anymore.

Well, technically, Unskippable ALWAYS has a joke within the ending credits.

That might just be one of the most devious schemes related to gold farming ever; which ultimately makes the hackers look a little dumb to put in that much effort ,and risk of being arrested, just to farm gold for NK. Maybe North Korea "inspired" Blizzard?

Interestingly, I can't watch the blip.tv player in HD on any of my computers, and as such was watching it in lo-def when you went to lo-def. It's not an issue with the player so much as my not wanting to replace 5-year-old computers yet. Also my CR-48 is pretty suck at web video.

Honestly, if I"m playing the game already, why not drop items I'm not using into the real-money auction house? Whether Blizzard takes a cut or not, I'm going to get rid of items I don't need, and I don't play multiplayer except with my Dad.

OK, so from what I can tell, the actual numbers for the Diablo auction house aren't available yet, so I don't think it's fair to assume Blizzard will be making more money than the seller, just because there are several fees...

I'm kinda curious when the numbers come out, how they'll compare to, say, eBay b/w PayPal... since that's what it's essentially replacing. And they also charge a fee for listing and a fee per transaction. No fee for cashing out, but plenty of other fees besides. All that would be changing is the fees going to Blizzard instead of to eBay.

The articles I read did state that there would be a fee for cashing out.

"Call-strafe" absolutely needs to be a word. Is it a word? Please let it be a word. :D

My favourite part of the episode was when Paul described the person who suggested the auction house a dragon. Kathleen was skeptical. Paul described the method by which the auction house works. Kathleen suddenly completely agreed!

Yeah, I meant that PayPal has no fee for cashing out, which is a point of difference from this auction house thing. Though it's not like there's a shortage of things they do have fees for...

It is now. I sat there thinking, "it's not forward or back... it's... it's... AHA!" as I looked at the WASD on my keyboard.

Big question here: Who the hell is Robert?

And for the record, I would care about HD if my provider didn't impose such a stingy limit on us.
