Weird News Thread
Let's consolidate all the odd news stories into one thread!
I'll start with this one:
How did the Irish stop Zombies? Fill the corpse's mouth with rocks before burial.

I already posted these in the General Chat thread, but I think it belongs here as well.
I found a couple of stories that immediately made me think of Feed Dump:
Man 'engulfed in flames' seen fleeing suspicious shop fire
Airport security quiz Rudd over Vegemite

Oh, hey. Can't believe I didn't think to post this one. Kathleen, this story is for you.
Graeme the Cat Waits for Owner at Train Station Every Day.
And the fun fact is? Nicole Weinrich, the owner of Graeme, is the fiancée of a friend of mine.

The sentance in the article;
made me lol. THEY NAME THEM ANYWAY. It's as though the newspaper went "fuck you and your request".Many of the locals at the station, which the Herald Sun has chosen not to name at the request of Graeme's owners, agree.

They're asking not to name the station, not the people.

Re: Weird News Thread
They made that horribly unclear, then, because the sentence as stated indicates that the locals at the station were not named by request.
That or the sentence is horribly ambiguous, but I read what I said before the other way around.

Re: Weird News Thread
Yeah, it's poorly worded. It should be, "At the station, which has been left unnamed at Graeme's owners' request, many of the locals agree." But then THAT is horribly clunky as well. I see why it was done how it was done.

Re: Weird News Thread
Further proof as a language, English is very shit. It's as consistant as Valve's release schedule.
But yeah I find it retarded the Newspaper would ever consider naming the station. Knowing humanity some prickhats would think it would be amusing to go there and severly maim the poor thing.

Keanu Reeves is also immortal, apparently. (http://www.keanuisimmortal.com/) Doesn't explain why their acting is so bad.

I love stories like this, of animals who travel independently or wait at stations for people. Just... animals that show keen awareness. I love it. Reminds me of this one from 2007.

He's Tesla!
Re: Weird News Thread
Keanu in 1989, when he was "25" and he looks exactly the same.
He's totally chopping off the heads of his brethren and absorbing their souls.

I suppose the people who are claiming that Nicky is immortal are from the iscolated parts of America who are narrow minded and thus are ignorant to the facinating world of genetics? (sorry to stereotype)
