Re: Happy Anniversary LRR!
Happy Birthday, LRR. Here's to another eight years.
...And to think I was still in school when LRR started.

Re: Happy Anniversary LRR!
I remember first coming across LRR after Graham and Paul entered the first episode of Unskippable into the Escapist Film Festival. I remember meeting you guys in earnest during Desert Bus For Hope 3. My first LRR video proper was "Mercenary Solutions 2" and I joined the forums not long after.
*sighs* Ah, it's been a heck of a ride since then. Here's hoping to many more years of fun and comedy.

I've been aware of LRR for 3 years now, rabid fan for 2, and I look forward to extending that on for eternity.
Happy 8th LRRniversary, guys. Keep up the good work. Because if you don't... we know where you live.

Re: Happy Anniversary LRR!
I made this just for you guys. Happy LRRniversary.
Piano Man
By LRRy Joel
'Sung' by the amativeness
It's nine o'clock on a Saturday,
The regular crowd shuffles in;
There's an old man sitting next to me,
Makin' love to club soda and gin.
He says, "Son, can you play me a memory,
I'm not really sure how it goes.
But it's sad and it's sweet and I knew it complete,
When I wore a younger man's clothes."
La la la, di da da,
La la, di di da da dum.
Sing us a song, you're the Piano Man,
Sing us a song tonight.
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody,
And you've got us feelin' all right.
Now James at the bar is a friend of mine,
He gets me my drinks for free.
And he's quick with a joke, or to light up your smoke,
But there's some place that he'd rather be.
He says, "Ama, I believe this is killing me."
As the smile ran away from his face;
"But I'm sure that I could be a movie star,
If I could get out of this place."
Oh, la la la, di da da,
La la, di da da da dum.
Now Paul is a real estate linuxist,
Who never had time for a wife.
And he's talkin' with Morgy, who's still in the LRR Navy,
And probably will be for life.
And the waitress is crafting a sweater-dress,
As the forumites slowly gets stoned.
Yes, they're sharing a drink they call LRRiness,
But it's better than LRRin' alone.
<Piano Break>
Sing us a song, you're the Piano Man,
Sing us a song tonight.
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody,
And you've got us feelin' all right.
It's a pretty good crowd for Blue Monday,
And the Graham-ager gives me a smile;
'Cause he knows that it's me they've been comin' to see,
To forget about life for a while.
And the piano, it sounds like a carnival,
And the microphone smells like Paul's Beard.
And they sit at the bar and put posts in my jar,
And say, "Man, what are you doin' here?"
Oh, la la la, di da da,
La la, di da da da dum.
Sing us a song, you're the Piano Man,
Sing us a song tonight.
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody,
And you've got us feelin' all right.
zA: How do I relax?
Evil Jim: Jerk off.

Re: Happy Anniversary LRR!
Another thing to think of is how many of those videos are distinct separate stories? Most of them. that's 800-900 different scripts, stories, improv, or observances of filming (or such), as well as editing. Without (iirc) re-using that much (or alot) of past footage. That's also impressive.
Also, if we take the assumption that most videos are about 7-8 minutes long (most weeklies are about 5-7, have some much much longer ones), that means there's a total of 106 hours (or more, also note this is an average and may be wrong) of video up on this site and on your sections of the escapist. That's alot of video.
Congratz you guys. You are fantasticaly awesome.

Re: Happy Anniversary LRR!
Congratulations guys. It's just been about 2 and a bit years for me since I stumbled upon Graham guesting in Zero Punctuation, watched Unskippable for a few months, then found the website itself and split my sides laughing to the then recent video of The Secret Of The Sauce.
Here's to more years of fun and siliness.

23 months for me.
Also realised that I've been wearing my LRR starburst shirt in unintentional honour of this occasion. Sweet.
Congratulations to all involved. Here's to many more comedic updates.

Would it be easier to call it the LRRthday?
And I've only been a fan since about the beginning of the year - I've had a lot of catching up to do

Re: Happy Anniversary LRR!
Nice job. But I think it would be a little more, no taking to account unreleased videos on DVD, Let's Play, or AAAL (if you count those).
The most unique, nicest, and confusing individual you will get to know. Don't be stupid around me, that's my job.

Happy LRRthday guys.
Been watching and actively in the LRR community for over 5 years now and proud of it.
Keep the content coming. You've built something truly amazing here.
(Wacky to think I would've been 14 when I started watching LRR and now I'm turning 20 in another two months. Dang!)
