Right, but Tim & his wife are having a baby, so now the circle can begin again.

What, humour?

See, this is the sort of thing friends do to each other, good-natured ribbing.

Sorry if it went over your bitter, petty little head. ;)

edit: dang, here I am forgetting an altruism that one of the people mentioned in the thread title popularized - "Sarcasm is indistinguishable on the Internet". Maybe some graphical amendments might make my tone clearer...

All this talk of Lavos and Kara and the myths of internet old intrigue me... takes me back to the days of OS-9, when programmers were real programmers, when data compilers were real data compilers, when systems analysts specializing in binary rather than hex were real systems analysts specializing in binary rather than hex.*

Let's sit around the firewire and tell stories of this time, with only the gentle plucking of a digitally auto-tuned acoustic guitar to accompany us... gather around children. Gather round.

*Also, I know nothing about IT jobs or how they work...

Now all I need is someone to complain about how hard it is to code in COBOL and I'll have bingo.

Compared to other languages developed around the same time, COBOL is comparatively easy to code in.

Well, I can tell you that it doesn't run in DOS mode. As to what it does do.....I'm too lazy to read it.
