Me, I'm going with a Macbook Pro 17" running the buscam and IRC, and a HDMI cable to a wide screen television with the drivercam running. I'm not sure how much bandwidth running it at high def will bring though, so it may instead be a smaller window and have both the drivercam and buscam on the TV.

Video output from my laptop to my TV, spanning my desktop across both, using the laptop screen for chat and the TV for the driver cam. Ironically, from where I sit and place my laptop, my laptop screen appears larger than my TV.

Man, all that Spidey stuff makes me a sad panda.

Because try as I might for all of them, I know I won't get any.

But I will try!

It will be running on my laptop (MacBook running Win 7 with an Apple wallpaper, the OSX partition has an Android wallpaper), while I'm either on my main computer grinding on an MMO or playing GoW3 or Deus Ex on my XBox.

Let me ask a question, since this is my first Desert Bus:

What are examples of challenges that are, perhaps, a little overdone?

I've seen, for instance, about eleventy billion videos of people dancing to Caramelldansen, and that seems like it's sort of an in joke that I don't entirely get, but what are other things that get done too often? Still Alive?

Does the Who's "Magic Bus" get done a lot? It seems like it should.
This is why we can't have nice things.

They have 6 days to fill. Everything gets done just about every year so don't worry about overdone. They try to do everything only once per Desert Bus, though. If you have a true burning desire to see something, it's best to get in a donation relatively early on; otherwise, an Australian might request your song at 4 am PST and you'll miss it. Depending upon how busy it is, my advice is that you'll want to give the crew between a half hour and 2 hours for them to get around to actually performing the challenge.

I have my usual ad-hoc setup.

Laptop plugged in via HDMI to HD tv and to guitar amplifier via aux and adapter.

Ahh... good. They're still doing the Pub Club thing. I canceled the card I used last year for that (bank sent me a new card), so that's good for me. (And for them, I guess.)

So, um, has it been confirmed that Takahata101 is in DB this year, cause he seems to think he is:

"Looks like I will be attending desert bus for hope friday and saturday!"

I've probably missed something and it was announced ages ago, but anyway, this is awesome.

There's still about 20 minutes to go. Your countdown is wrong.

Oh good, the DB_med feed is not working.

I'm getting a solid 0.25 FPS on the high.

So does anyone know a way to stream to tv? I can hook my laptop up but then i have to sit like 4 feet from said tv.

justin tv seems to work for some feeds on my ps3 but desert bus does not through there :(

I have all 3 consoles if that helps.

So since chat moves faster than the human eye can actually track, can someone explain to me what Matt's Twilight challenge is/was? I just missed that part.

Yeah, that sucks pretty bad. I'm just glad I was early enough that I was "inside" that 1k international watchers. Hopefully the new stream service works a lot better...
