It was discussed at length in this thread.

I enjoy ZP still, but I never go out of my way to make sure I'm up to date with recent videos like I used to be. I don't really fall over laughing anymore like I used to, just mostly smirk. I think I've just gotten used to his humour and it isn't as refreshing as it used to be to me .

I like what Graham said in one of the LRRCasts about ZP. He uses the same style of review, but if you pay attention, you can tell how much he likes a game by how much he complains about it. The ones he likes are usually "here's how to fix it for next time" while the ones he hates are "this sucks worse than a teenage, metalmouthed hooker with lockjaw and tourettes."

I enjoy ZP, Though unlike LRR I don't watch it every week, rather 3 or 4 of them in a row every few weeks.

I'll also throw my vote for liking ZP, but I agree that it takes third place below Extra Credits and everything LRR produces. It's a solid third against some tough competition, though. After all, ZP is one of the things that brought me to the Escapist in the first place, and the Escapist is what brought me to LRR, so points in its favor.

Something I just remembered:

Whenever ZP was the only thing I watched on the Escapist, the URL I used to get there was the ZP archive. ZP is the only thing I went there to see. Whenever I found LRR, one of their ads I saw was for Unskippable, so I watched it. I then thought "Wait, the Escapist has other video series?"

Eh, I got tired of the schtick. I wonder if he can even enjoy games anymore because he has to play them with such a hyper-critical eye.
Not that the style itself isn't entertaining, or anything against Yahtzee, but in general, I'm tired of the complaint style of reviewing...

Just out of interest, when you did your X-Blades review in Yahtzee's style on his Halo Wars revoew, how hard to you find it?

I don't mean to sound like an ass, but just so people don't get lost like I did searching for the video, it's Halo Wars, not ODST.

I still enjoy ZP. I actually do find him a pretty good resource to help me decide whether to purchase a game or not. Yeah, you have to learn how to read Yahtzee's reviews, because he'll sometimes rant about something that I know personally won't bug me, but he does sometimes bring up issues that mainstream review sites don't or only mildly touch on. The fact that he injects humor into is a nice touch as well.

Bit hit and miss for me. Some I really enjoy and others he just doesn't have that much to work with and bore me. It's not something I look forward to every week so I usually watch a few every so often.

As for him influencing my decision on buying a game? No. You can tell when he likes or dislikes a game but still I go to multiple sites and ask around with people I know share my taste in games before I really decide.
Yahtzee for me is fun to see someone rant on a videogame but I wouldn't buy a game because he says so or not buy one.
I don't know he's just not one of those persons for me.

To be fair, Yahtzee himself says that Zero Punctuation is not a review show, it's just a comedic rant show about video games.

Since I only own a bottom-end PC I get influenced by his opinion because I can't afford the games anyway.

I really like ZP. His reviews aren't always funny, but they are like a much more vicious and cutting version of Extra Credit, which includes games.

ZP has always been, for me at least, entertainment. I have never purchased a game because of what he said, nor have I stopped myself from buying a game I had plans to buy before seeing his reviews.

And because of that I still find it entertaining, he has some great jokes in his reviews and I can always be sure to get at least one or two laughs out of it.

That being said if I went to him every week to see what games I should and should not get I would be getting pretty bored indeed, also I wouldn't have many games :P

Except Silent Hill 2, The Sands of Time Trilogy and Psychonauts...

I couldn't live on those five games...

Y'know, I've neglected to keep up to date with ZP lately, but have caught a few episodes I've genuinely wanted to watch. I still enjoy his comedic take on game reviews, even if I actually really like the game. It's all personal opinion.

Jimquisition, on the other hand, can die in a fucking inferno. I just tortured myself by watching the recent Skyrim episode. Yes, there were valid points when he was speaking logically, but constantly ruined by all the stupid. The Escapist already has a cursing British person talking about games, and that's Yahtzee. Plus he makes a fedora look good. Jim's just an egotistical, immature tosser. Simple.

...Sigh :/ Yahtzee calls it a fedora, so.. ;) Terms are terms. Beanies and toques.

I'm just going to accept that last part as sarcasm though. I knew what the date of the last post was. I haven't been posting on these here forums for a looooooong time, until after Desert Bus. I briefly had something to add, what's the damn problem? :/

I kinda did the same, never bothered with anything else. Just happened to be linked to episodes directly through a friend. Merely thought it was cool that someone in Australia was doing something cool for a North American gaming site. Then I'd heard about Unskippable through a Final Fantasy XI podcast talking about the Eternal Sonata episode, continued watching, eventually discovered LRR too! :D
