The reason why I never watched it for him. There were five seasons, and I think it says on IMDB that Gene Roddenberry wrote 110 episodes, though, of course, they were changed after the first time he tried to make the show fell through. And, you know, he died.

What would people think about more Blackadder?

What would they do? The great depression? World War 2? Vietnam? There isn't really a definite decade or so they could poke fun at, as it's either not specific enough, not funny enough, or too recent to make light of. Also, Hugh Laurie's too busy being a serious actor now, and Tony Robinson is too old and spends all his time being an archeologist twit now.
I know it's not technically a "series", and it doesn't involve any scripted comedy or drama at all, but you know what they should bring back?
Freakin' Robot Wars!

Re: Bring them back you bastards!
Sorry for a bit of a necro/bump (is it a necro if it's off the first page?) but I was reading TVtropes on the Star Trek films, and I'd like to have the TNG crew back for a decent send-off.

Re: Bring them back you bastards!
Alas, I had trouble watching that, one of my all time favorite things, with one of my all time most despised things. Yeah, I'm one of those people who doesn't like Family Guy. BTW Futurama already did this with the TOS cast, but I'm not going to go into a "why I think Family Guy sucks" rant, as I don't think my opinion on it matters or stands out from other naysayers so much that I need to grace the forums with a long drawn out essay on it.

Seeing as this thread has been necroed. Would anybody else like to see more Babylon 5?

...yeah, necrothread!
I've just watched a lot of Arrested Development because my other half loves it. Seriously, why did this show get cancelled? It's funny, dry, quick, dense, clever and... oh it was on Fox. Nevermind.
But, fortunately, it is coming back!

I for one am shocked at the lack of mention here for Invader Zim or Megas XLR. Gir and giant robot cars. What more could people need?

Most of the above, and adding The Unusuals, which was *fricking awesome* for one whole ten-episode, cliffhanger-ending season. >:c
Often outnumbered, never outpunned.

I don't remember if I mentioned it when this thread was made, but they really need to make more of The Middleman. Fucking awesome show.

Heck, if we're going there, I'll probably repeat someone else's request and say The Tick, and Freakazoid.

- Firefly: New crew, because the old actors have moved on. And then an episode called "The Captains" having the new captain, Mal and the captain from Browncoats: Redemption meet and have a adventure.
- A New Stargate series: I watched the 3 hour pilot of Universe and missed alot of the humor that made the other series good and couldn't shake the feeling that they were just trying to ape Battlestar.
And I personnaly loved Enterprise because it had that "To boldly go where no man has gone before" feel. until the Xindi war's broke out of course. Seeing Archer develop was cool, but seeing the show break away from its strengths was sad (Also, alternate reality episodes can never be 2 parters, thats distracted way to much from the real story).

SG: Universe wasn't bad actually. It was starting to get pretty good by the time they were cancelled. (Having gotten the main character conflict somewhat resolved)

I'm just watching old episodes of NewsRadio again, and I just think... I sure wish Phil Hartman hadn't been murdered by his wife.

Aye, and not just that show; I think The Simpsons just hasn't been the same since he was taken from us - no more Lionel Hutz or Troy McClure...

Re: Bring them back you bastards!
Yeah, have Zombie Hartman doing voices again, and Team Coco writing? yeah, I'd watch that.
But seriously, NewsRadio; so good.
