This video is even funnier for me as I am of Chinese origin and as such know a fair bit about Shaolin and Buddhism and so on. Good work guys. :)

Wow guys, great video. The effects were AWESOME! Jer, that was great - If some random person runs up to you to tell you this at Uvic just assume it was me seeing you randomly between my classes.

And Ash, that was great! Keep it sexy! :D

Am I the only one who noticed Jer had on a yummies shirt in the first 3 seconds?

Correct! Didn't it turn out so well though? Seriously, I'm in love with that effect.

And Matt... is that your hand Frankenjam found? God dammit.

Actually, I HAVE a yummies shirt, but it's not the one I have on in the video (at about the 8.5 second mark). Look again, and this time use freeze-frame.

Awesome job on this one gents, Jer, you carry silent roles. Love the angel tats too.

And since I was just learning some basic effects editing and made something that looked like absolute crap: awesome job on the editing, loved the rain and the cloud sequence.

we were laughing because, although it did work out pretty well doing the whole cheese shop thing on the first try, the majority of it fell in a huge clump right at the end and most of it ended up on my kitchen floor... and jer's hair.

it was kind of funny that graham got all the special effect takes right on the first try and all the boring "entering the room" ones we did 3-4 times.

I know; once you've actually edited, you realize how difficult it is.
Mind you, I've never used Final Cut, just iMovie :(. Final Cut Pro next year though! Huzzah!

So, I got to the site this morning and realized that there were four pages in this thread. FOUR FUCKING PAGES IN ONE DAY! Now, I know this has been asked, but could someone be kind and just quote it if they must: How did you do the popcorn popping sequence? It didn't look like freeze-frames. Was there something in there that released oxygen/air?

Also the rain effect is not a premade filter. I saw someone mention it as such somewhere.

What about the cheese? Did you have someone with good aim standing on a chair just off camera?

Nah, I'm sure it was Matt hanging from the cieling. Or Bill just standing behind the one holding the camera, reaching over. :P

I find it ironic that the video celebrates Jer's ersatz Shaolin skills while Matt hangs from the ceiling with grated cheese.

I think it is best that we don't question the magic of LRRs skills and we just enjoy the wonders of the video...

did you actually have Matt hanging from the ceiling? that doesn't sound ideal at all.

I think we should question the magic of LRR, as to become better filmmakers ourselves. Can I get an "Aye!"?

If by "Matt hanging from the ceiling", you mean "Paul standing on a chair", then yes.

So it was Paul standing on a chair cleverly disguised as Matt hanging from the ceiling?

I figured it would be something like that. I was wondering how hanging from the ceiling was brought up.
