Wait, it can do that? EA Active tracks your calorie output. Mind you, I don't trust it a goddamn inch. But it's probably still slightly more accurate than just saying 'Aerobics class, 20 minutes'.

Well, it's really rough. When you set up a plan you tell it your daily activity level outside of workouts. So you could be, like me, a pretty lethargic desk job. Or a somewhat active, like a cashier (always standing). Then walking for work (postman etc.), or hard labour like construction. Then it adjusts your caloric intake to compensate.

When I used to work construction I lost like 25-30 pounds over one summer and ate like a horse.

I'm suddenly seeing the appeal of fitocracy. I'm only two points behind JackSlack! I can do that!

gained a bit of wait back during the holidays and the end of last semester, still 45 lbs down from my peak, and fighting to get another 20 off while still in grad school. It's Hard!

*DING!*

Weight training seems to get you more points exponentially once you get into the heavier weight. So while 20lbs doesn't get you much, 45lbs gets you much much more.

Alright Runners. We have 13 hours to push the group level up .22. I think if all of us active people go up one level it will be possible!

If we can't do it, then I expect all of us to do one set of CRABCORE!

Well that's easy enough for me (42 points) and I plan on hitting the gym after work anyways.

I have pick up hockey tonight and rugby practice tomorrow and a hockey game on Sunday. I may throw in a quick workout somewhere in there. That should get me another level by Monday.

If it rains enough today to clear the sidewalks of snow I'll see about pusing myself up past level 10 tonight, but I don't think that's likely.

Or you could track the hockey. It's under sports and will net you massive points.

I already do... and unfortunatley it doesn't. One hour will only net me 300 points. Less than most of my workouts.

Welp, not going to get any extra level help from me.. only a 400-ish point workout today. But more points tomorrow!

And the hockey thing really is crap; should let them know. Getting only 153 points for 32 minutes of a game, compared to 195 points for 15 minutes of moderate-to-fast stationary bike cycling is dumb.

Would it bring the group up if I leave it, considering I'm such a low level? I'll work out as well but I don't want to become a ball and chain to you guys who are way more serious about it than I am.

Well, it would, but that would totally defeat the point of having a runners group, I decidedly wouldn't want that.

Speaking of the average, sorry. I went and joined back when I first saw this thing because I thought it was cool, but I was in Ireland then, and like the xkcd comic says, there's no option for sex. I'll start working on it in the coming weeks, though. The exercise. Not the sex.

Don't leave the group! Keep steady at your own pace.

Alright Runners, we didn't make the cut for the average. So that means it's time to crabcore to make up for it!

This is a quick three minute dance, and I like to think it's my signature.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lNLS3hONh4 Is a video of the LRR crew doing it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDzt6yI3Dw8&ob=av3e Is just the normal video.
Please LoadingReadyRunners, crabcore to make up for lack of a level 5 average. It's my only hope.

Weekly weight loss: 0.8kg. Not exactly massive, but it's going in the right direction and more importantly, I feel I can keep it up.

... I leveled up today. Maybe too late for the group deadline, but you can blame my migraine for that one. Better late than never?
